Any body else remember Doc McStuffins? Lol.
"I nearly forgot all about your leg." Obi-Wan said, sitting up stiffly on the ground. "I guess the wrapping job I did looked so natural, it just slipped my mind. Is it okay? Let me go find some proper gauze and maybe even some bacta cream to fix it up better..."
"Obi, I'm fine." I groaned, turning over to face his rigid form. It was well into the night and I was just about to fall asleep until he popped up. I pulled my robe tighter over my frame and shivered a bit. It was so cold.
"No, no we've got to do this now. Who's telling what could have been in that lake water?"
I found the hood on my makeshift blanket and pulled it over my head. "Can it wait until morning?" I yawned. When I didn't get an answer, I realized numbly that he had already left to find the medicine cabinet. I flicked on the lights via the Force, blinked a few times, and then sadly got to work on untying the tunic cloth Obi-Wan had used to wrap my injured leg.
I can't say I felt anything wrong with it since it was sorta numb, and it didn't look bad. It certainly didn't look like it was on the way to a grand healing, but at least it didn't look infected. It did look kind of red though.
Obi-Wan came back a few minutes later with a rag, a roll of gauze, a bottle of antiseptic alcohol, and a tiny bottle of some kind of ointment. He kneeled down next to me, examined my cut, and then popped open the alcohol and poured some on the rag.
"This is probably going to sting really badly." he warned, the rag hovering over my skin.
I nodded just before he used his free hand to grab mine and pressed the damp rag onto my cut.
I didn't feel anything at first, but it wasn't long before it felt like my nerves had lit up and were on fire! I grimaced and dug my fingernails into my friend's hand. Once the pain subsided a bit, he thankfully removed the cloth.
"I'm gonna have to do that about four more times, okay? This cut's pretty long." he said, pouring alcohol on a different spot on the rag.
I nodded again, and he graciously held out his hand for me to hold again.
Once that was all done, my leg was read and throbbing. He didn't waste any time applying the bacta cream he'd found, and then wrapping it up. "Alright," he said, placing all his supplies on a counter. "I'm all done. Is it too tight?"
"No." I replied, moving my leg around a bit. "Thanks Obi."
"No problem, now go back to sleep." he said, walking back over to his original spot on the floor and laying down on it.
"That's what I was trying to do before you fixed me up. I don't think it's going to happen any time soon." I grumbled, pulling my cloak back over my shivering frame.
Obi-Wan heard my teeth chattering, so he moved closer and placed an arm around me. I sighed and snuggled into the heat that seemed to be radiating off of him. "Now go to sleep." he murmured into my ear. I instantly felt drowsy and slipped into unconsciousness under his heavy sleep suggestion.
