Drabble: "You fuckin' idiot."

The One With Dermatiliamania.

•••

You pulled tight on the straps to your heavy backpack, pulling it closer to your body as you rushed from your dorm room to your classroom. You were going to be late. The closer you got to class 1-A's doors the more you felt the urge to pick at your cheek.

You knew you shouldn't give in to that urge. The urge you always got from your dermatiliamania, an illness you suffered from. An illness where you incessantly picked at your skin until you bled. Sometimes you didn't even realize you were bleeding until you saw the blood on your fingers, but by then your skin was pink, raw, and blotchy. By then it was too late.

Just as you brought your hand up to your cheek to give into to that irresistible itch and scar up your pretty skin, you felt a big, rough hand grab onto your wrist and pull it back down to your side.

“You’re gonna scar yourself, you fuckin' idiot.”

“When I feel an itch, I itch.”

“And whose fault is that? What did your shitty therapist tell you?”

You grumbled as you crossed your arms over your chest. Your boyfriend, Katsuki, had the right to scold you. Your urge to itch was worse when you felt overly stressed.

“To be more open and upfront about my emotions.”

You trained your eyes on the floor in embarrassment and shame. You wanted to open up to Katsuki, you really did. You wanted to tell him when you were stressed or upset, but you couldn't help but feel like a burden to him, you felt it was better to bury it deep down instead of bothering him.

“I just don't like bothering you.”

His warm hands cupped your cheeks and he tilted your head up to make you look at him. He was rough, but not to rough as if to hurt you.

“Well, get used to it! I'd rather you bother me than scratch yourself up.”

“Thank you Katsuki, that means a lot to me.”

You leaned up on your tippy-toes and kissed Katsuki on the cheek. Pulling back you couldn't help but smile at his momentarily flustered face and watched as he tried to revert back to a smirk as his classmates passed him. Heaven forbid people know he has a soft side.

“Whatever, its nothing. I'm not some fucking extra who lets his girlfriend suffer from her illness alone.”

As Katsuki grabbed onto your hand and pulled you along with him to class, you felt your worries fade away. The urge to scratch was gone and your stress momentarily released. As you leaned into Katsuki, life felt more at ease.
