Chapter 10

It was around 10:15 Dev opened his eyes and realized its time to wake up as they have this dumb function at home. He just finds it dumb because everyone saw the bride but still wants to come and see her again. He really didn't want to wake her up as she looked so innocent sleeping peacefully. But then he had to Coz they have to get ready.
Dev very gently kissed her ears.
Dev:: good morning sunshine. I know you wanna sleep some more but we have to wake up (he sounded way to sexy that Pooja didn't want to wake up rather she wanted to stay like that for the whole day. She turned towards Dev and put her arms around his neck and hid her face in his crook of his neck. Dev felt bad for her coz he knows she didn't get enough sleep, she is tired and exhausted. But the way she cling on to him, all he could do was smile and hug her tightly. Dev was the blanket and she hid herself as if she wanted to hide from everyone.
D:: how you feeling now?
P:: mmmmm
D:: I still don't understand that language but I'm guessing little better
P:: hmmm
D:: okay..... little better or lot better
P:: mmm lot better. Thanks 😊
Dev wanted to see her face now but she dug her face and then her hair covered the rest of the face, he slowly moved the hair from trying to see her face. He could only see the side of her face, he smiled to himself just seeing her sleep like that. His hands automatically started rubbing her back and somehow slowly it reached inside her T-shirt. He was gently rubbing her smooth skin but that kinda woke her up. Pooja couldn't help but kiss his neck, that small kiss gave him shiver and he looked at her they had an eye lock but his hands kept working, his hands were gliding all over her back and slowly it reached her belly, Pooja closed her eyes tilting her head little backwards and Dev kissed her lips, he sucked on to her lips and his hand played along. Pooja's fingers were running through his silky hair. By now almost half of his body was on top of Pooja, even he didn't realize when his hand reached her warm breast and he gently pressed it and in between kisses a soft moan escaped Pooja's mouth, it sounded like music to Dev, he rubbed her gently and slowly he kissed her jaw lines and then her neck making her breathe heavily, as he was almost about to move her T-shirt Pooja's phone rang real loud but they couldn't find the phone, it was not anywhere in the bed not even the night stand. It was on the dressing table which Dev spotted after the ringing stopped.
P:: oh sorry! I must've forgotten it there last night after I spoke to my mom
D:: that's ok!! Anyway let's get ready
Before She could enter the bathroom Dev grabbed her hand and pinned her to the wall. This time he didn't take permission he just kissed her and pulled her close to him by her waist. He kissed her till they were breathless.
D:: promise me you will continue this later ? Promise me!!??
P:: I promise!!
D:: and don't forget to silence ur phone 😒
Pooja smiled and ran off to the bathroom.
Pooja wore a nice pink muslin saree with some beautiful embroidery, she left her hair loose, she picked a nice diamond set that goes perfect with the saree. Dev came out of shower as usual he came out in his towel, he almost forgot Pooja was sitting there. Pooja's eyes fell on his wet chiseled body which gave her goosebumps, she couldn't stop looking at her hot husband who looked hotter in that white towel. She wished she could just see him in towel all the time, the water dripping from his hair to his shoulder and running down his bare back looked way too sexy. Suddenly Dev noticed that his wife was ogling him and started walking close to her Pooja quickly picked up her necklace and tried to wear it but failed to hook the necklace but she kept on trying till he came and stood right behind her his wet body touching her back.
D:: seems like wifey got lil distracted (taking the necklace from her hand and putting it on) so what were you looking at?
P:: nothing
D:: really? (That definitely sounded sexy when he whispered in a hoarse voice close to her ears and then he inhaled the sweet perfume she wore. Pooja's heart started pumping really fast. When Dev wrapped his arms around her waist Pooja's breath hitched. His bare chest was pasted on his back, she almost felt his manhood touching her)
D:: did you not like what you saw or you liked it a lot that you don't want to talk about it.
P:: I think we need to get ready and go downstairs
D:: so you are sure you didn't see anything in the mirror?
P:: no I didn't see anything
D:: oh ok.... alright let me get ready and you carry on
Pooja couldn't believe what happened next, Dev went back close to the bed where he kept his clothes, which ofcourse was color coordinated with Pooja's.
He walked back and took off his towel and threw it on the ground and started putting on his clothes.
The moment he threw the towel Pooja closed her eyes right away and Dev just smirked looking at his wife. He wore his pants and said
D:: you can open your eyes I'm wearing my pants as long as you don't mind seeing me shirtless
Pooja turned all pink just like her saree, she really didn't have much to say all she could do was ogle her husband who looked pretty handsome in a light pink Kurta with white pant. He brushed his hair, wore his perfume and his wedding ring.
D:: alright Madam I'm all ready, are we ready to go now?
Pooja turned and buttoned his kurta, he smelled so good that she was almost intoxicated. But she had to control coz it was already late and they had to go and show their face. So they start walking and they were holding hands.
D:: Pooja, you look beautiful
P:: and you look handsome!
D:: Pooja I wanted to say something
P:: what?
D:: I love you!!
Pooja blushed
D:: Pooja!!! Before we take the steps to go down I really think we need to kiss
P:: I think so too
Dev didn't wait he just went for it, they really forgot they were not in their bedroom
Dadi:: oh man!! Get a room please!! I can't see all this PDA
P:: oh shoot (embarrassed)
D:: dadi you scared me. I thought it was someone else.
D::huh!!! What do you mean I'm your dadi I'm the most senior person here and who do you think it was? Common now come down all the oldies are waiting.
Dadi saw Pooja and said Nazar na lage how pretty you are looking. Hope you are feeling better now and Pooja said she was much better and they went to the hall where everyone was waiting for them. They all had only good things to say about Pooja and Dev stood with the boys and heard all the things that the ladies had to say and felt so proud he felt like a winner of some race where he won gold.
One of Dev's relatives who came from India just for the wedding said "so Bahu what are you going to cook for your first day in the kitchen" Sev heard that and said
D:: first day in the kitchen? Why does Pooja have to go to the kitchen now? Maa what's with the kitchen?
P:: Aunty ji, I thought first time in the kitchen may be I'll make something sweet. Do you like Kheer?
Relative:: oh yes!! Ofcourse!! Shabbash!!
Dev is puzzled that his new wife has to cook then why do they have cooks and house help?
Nandini:: Dev don't worry beta, we are not making your wife work this is a ritual and these things don't come every day, people don't get married everyday.
D:: so you are going to make Pooja cook for so many people ?
Disha:: no baby brother!! The cooks will do everything she will just make a sweet dish so people can taste it.
D:: but still Di?? If she gets hurt or something in the kitchen?
Disha:: Dev why would she get hurt we are all here to help her and even I had to cook when I got married. These are rituals guddu!!
Dadi:: no no no!!! My grand daughter in law won't go in the kitchen... my son made sure he earns enough to have cooks and helps in the house.
Nandini:: Maa not you pls!!
D:: Dadi is right!!
P:: Dev!! Don't worry nothing will happen and may be you are forgetting I lived alone when I went to college.
Nandini:: see that's my daughter in law
So now Dev is thinking that they have to wake up early morning tomorrow which really didn't sound fun after just getting married. He really regretted the fact that he still has to wait till 3rd for his honeymoon. After all the functions and rituals were done and the long lunches and dinners. Dev and Pooja went back to their room. At Last they were alone. Dev found everything to be overwhelming, he was not used to such gatherings and he was not used to so much of Indian culture in the house. Growing up in America where he mostly had white friends or even the Indian friends he had were like him Americans. He is not used to so much of interference of outsiders in their personal life. He did see his sister's wedding but in that case he didn't see what his sister had to go through when she got married. Now he realized why his sister didn't even have time to call him after they got married. Till they went for honeymoon they had no time. Dev couldn't wait to get over with all this. Tomorrow is cooking day ,day after Kapoor uncle invited both the families and then relatives from India are leaving that day so they have to give them time. Dev was so frustrated, then suddenly he realized after that Pooja will go to her parents place so he won't even see her for two days now he is very angry. On top of that ever since his Haldi after he jumped in the cold swimming pool he has little cold which was really bothering him.
D:: Pooja, that's it tomorrow we are leaving
P:: leaving where? Our flight is on 3rd right?
D:: no I don't mean that I can't deal with all this. This is my marriage why would anyone else tell me what to do?
Pooja walked closer to him as he was sitting on the bed she stood in front of him he put his arms around her waist and hugged her, Pooja hugged his head to her chest, her fingers ran through his hair.
P:: calm down sweetie!!! Take it easy. These things don't happen everyday. I understand your frustration but everything will be fine. Common take some cold medicine. You don't sound too good
D:: Yea my throat is hurting. I was crazy to roam around and jump in the pool that day
P:: why don't you get freshen up and I'll change too
After Dev came out of the bathroom Pooja went to wash up Dev laid in bed waiting for Pooja.
Pooja came out and saw Dev fell asleep his mouth was open little bit, poor guy must be tired and not feeling well. She turned off the light and hugged her husband tightly and went to sleep. In the morning when she woke up Dev was still in deep sleep may be he really needed that sleep as he has been on his toes the last whole month he never even got a chance to rest after he came back from the trip and then all these functions and rituals and staying up late night. So Pooja let him sleep and she got ready and went to Nandini so that she can prepare her kheer. After she made the kheer she decided to make tea for Dev she also gave tea to Nandini and Dadi who were chit chatting and helping her. She took the tea to her room and saw Dev moving little bit, she sat beside him.
P:: Good morning Dev!!
D:: mmmmm good morning!! When did I sleep?
P:: when I came out of the bathroom you were already sleeping
D:: I'm sorry!! I think it's the cough syrup
P:: I'm glad you slept now you will feel fresh. Here I made tea for you. You wanna try and tell me if it's good or not
D:: really you made tea for me? Oh my you are going to spoil me...
p:: that's the whole idea..
D:: mmmm then I'm already spoiled and I need you to make it up for last night
P:: hey I didn't fall asleep last night ...
D:: not my fault if you spoiled me. Now I'm rotten and if you don't make it up then I'll throw tantrums.
P:: okay fine try the tea
Dev takes a sip
D:: you didn't put sugar? Here try it...
P:: Dev stop your filmy lines. I know I'll take a sip then you will say now it's sweet. I know all that and by the way I put lil more than half a spoon just the way you like it.
D:: Pooja you ruined the fun.... I'm not playing with you anymore. (Pretending to be upset)
Pooja took the mug and took a sip and kissed him now the tea tasted better than the heaven's juice.
D:: tea never tasted so good before...
P:: okay time to get up and get ready
D:: but Pooja I need milk for my tea
Pooja rolled her eyes
P:: Dev where did you learn all these pick up lines? Seriously this one was bad but it did sound cute though coming from you. I never thought I'll laugh at that. Hahahahaha stop being so cute you silly goose.
D:: pleaseeeeeeee!!!!!  Pleaseeeee!!
P:: not now, get up everyone's waiting...
Dev gulped down the tea and got up and again he came out in his towel he saw his clothes were out already and Pooja was fixing the bed.
P:: I got your clothes out and yes I can see you today so don't throw your towel off
Dev smirked at what his wife said and went in front of her
D:: remember you spoiled me ( he lets his towel fall off)
P:: Dev!!! You are such a rotten kid.
She picked up the towel and covered him and Dev couldn't stop laughing.
P:: now hold your towel and don't drop it till you have your pants on okay?
D/: not okay! I can't wear my clothes like that. But I can behave only if I get milk. (He grinned)
P:: not now
D:: then promise me I'll get it tonight
P:: okay promise. Now hold the towel please...
D:: I know you liked what you saw...
P:: you are something else!!
So the day went really fast but guess what Dev wasn't feeling too well. Yes something or the other was happening in Dev and Pooja's life. Dev had bad cold and 102' fever. Pooja was worried she gave him medicine but Dev didn't want Pooja to get too close to him now coz he didn't want her to get sick.
D:: see I told you I need milk and you didn't give me milk now I'm not strong anymore.
P:: ok stop now and turn around let me massage your back with some Vick's you will feel better.
D:: you sound like a teacher now.
P:: Dev just turns around.
D:: Pooja don't tell me you will spank me for being naughty
P:: Dev I will seriously spank you now 😠😠
Dev quickly turned around before Pooja sends him to time out. She applied some Vick's and massaged his back and in no time he fell asleep, she covered him with the blanket and went to sleep.
In the morning Dev woke up and found himself cocooned in Pooja's arms close to her chest. He tried to move little bit but she in her sleeping state rubbed his back and hugged him closer to her. He remembered he was feeling cold in the middle of the night and she hugged him real tight. He smiled to himself then turned his face little bit and kissed her on the bare skin which was rubbing his cheek all this time. Infact he peppered her with kisses which woke her up.
P:: Good morning sweetie!! You woke up so early, how you feeling? (Her eyes aren't still closed, resting her chin on his head properly giving him little more access to her neck)
D:: I'm feeling much better (now he gently kissed her neck)
P:: are you hungry? You want me to bring something to eat.
D:: no I'm not hungry, I'll call the kitchen if I need something.
P:: then go back to sleep it's still very early
D:: I can't go back to sleep
P:: why
D:: you have to put me to sleep.
He sucked on to her smooth skin, while his hand found the hem of her T-shirt. He slid his hand inside making patterns on her belly. His started peppering open mouthed kisses from her jaw line to down her neck line. She pulled him by his hair.
P:: I thought you wanted me to put you to sleep?
D:: that's what I'm trying to do.. pacifying myself to sleep.
Before she could say anything
D::this baby needs a pacifier....
After he said that and before she could realize the T-shirt was off her, Dev's eyes were dilated with her beauty.
D:: how are you so perfect? So beautiful!!
Dev definitely found his pacifier to sleep as he had no other choice coz she has her period.
That night was dinner at Kapoor Uncle's basically Disha's place. Pooja got to see her family and she was very happy.
Pooja is getting closer to Dev now she is liking what is happening in her life she is enjoying his touch.
Next day was busy as the relatives were leaving but everything calmed down in the evening. Dev was off for his wedding but everyone else had to start going back to work. It has been really hectic for everyone, they actually had a very quiet dinner after a long time. It was only Dadi, Vijay, Nandini Bua ji,Dev and Pooja. Even Bua ji's kids went back home with their dad as they can't miss school for so many days.
They actually sat down and talked like normal people, no more screaming and kids running around and food spilling out of plate and all that.
Later at night after everyone went back to their rooms
D:: so you really need to go to your mom's place? I mean you can go ofcourse but can you ask your dad that you can't stay for so long and after we have lunch you come back with me?
P:: Awww... but my parents are missing me too
D:: can you not tell them Dev has high fever I can't stay.
P:: Devvvvv!! I'm missing my parents too
Dev making a pout he is not a happy camper.
P:: okay what can I do to make you feel little better? I'm ready to compensate.
D:: are you sure?
P:: apart from that!!! Coz right now I can't but anything else.
D:: (Dev whispered) I want you to touch me
