Chapter 15

Pooja is back in the Dixit mansion and everyone is happy but ofcourse we all know who is the happiest yes it is no doubt Dev who is the happiest. But Pooja seems to be very angry with everyone specially Dev. She schooled the whole family for being so ignorant towards her husband and why no one informed her. She will not tolerate so much ignorance and indifference towards her husband at all and Maa Papa and Dadi kept quiet like good kids trying to pacify Pooja, they love Pooja because they know Pooja loves Dev and she won't let anything wrong happen to their son. After she was done with the family now it's Dev's turn.
She is very angry and not talking to Dev properly, Dev is scared to death now, at first he was shivering due to fever and now he is shivering more out of fear. Pooja just checked his temperature which was still very high 103' but he was still shamelessly flashing his teeth.
Pooja was so angry that she could literally spank him
P:: ok your temperature is very high it's better you take a quick shower and anyway you were in the hospital so it's better you clean up. 😠😠😤
D:: but Pooja it's hard for me to even move, my whole body hurts and then my ankle
P:: obviously I'm going to help, I'm pretty sure there's no one else who can help here. This day would never come if you were being careful and taking care of yourself. I know you did this purposely so that you can make me do extra work.
D::I'm sorry baby, I missed you and I couldn't think of anything but you
P:: okay okay! Stop now don't try to make me emotional because today I'm very angry. Common let's go. Take of your clothes and get in the shower after that you better eat whatever I give you I don't want to hear no from you
D:: Pooja I need help
P:: thank god they gave u a sling and not a cast then that would be something else.
Pooja gives him a nice cold shower and Dev didn't complain he sat like a good boy even though he tried getting romantic few times and Pooja yelled at him.
She forced him to eat chicken noodle soup and he was not very happy and then got more frustrated with the antibiotics, he was very sleepy but the body ache made it difficult for him to sleep even with pain medication he felt pain. Poor him couldn't even move without hurting himself, he was very uncomfortable. Atlast Pooja felt really bad for him she went close to him fixed his position
P:: everything hurting a lot?
D:: mmm!!
P:: awww baby come to mommy!!
She hugs his head to her chest positions his hand on her waist so he has some balance. He nuzzled his nose on her chest feeling happy already as if he reached home, the place where he is most comfortable.
D:: I missed you so much you can't even imagine.
She hugs him properly and covered him with the blanket
P:: (kissing his head) ssshhhh!!! Try to sleep
D:: everything hurts it's hard to sleep
P:: atleast try bubu.. I'm sure you'll feel much better once you wake up
Dev kept digging his face in her chest but he was scared to ask Pooja for anything but she knew how to make him happy. She unbuttoned her sleeping suit caressing his face giving him access to his favorite pacifier, he definitely felt like a kid in a candy store and didn't wait for anything and pacified himself to sleep.
Few hours after they went to sleep suddenly the effect of his antibiotics was going away Dev started feeling pain, his ankle swelled up a lot and also sleeping on one position he was not comfortable. His temperature was rising too. Poor Pooja woke up and had to cater to her husband, she just realized taking care of a baby is much easier than taking care of a big man baby, who wanted attention, love, care and everything else. She helped him get comfortable gave his antibiotics listened to his ranting about body ache and how he missed her and why she left him? Why she didn't answer his calls, he became sick because she was not there to take care of him.
P::Dev go to sleep shona, I'm here with you now get some rest you will feel better.
D:: but you know Pooja it was not fair that you just left me like that, you know how much it hurt?
P:: you think I was happy staying away from you?
D:: then why did you go?
P:: because I was hurt.
D:: now see what happened to me. Now do you like what happened to me?
P:: so now it's all my fault? Dev I'm going to sleep in the guest room now.
D:: no no no no Pooja no please Pooja don't leave me (Dev was really shaken)
P:: Dev!!! What's wrong? I'm sorry bubu... I was joking
D:: just don't say you will leave me
(Pooja hugged him real tight )
P:: I'm sorry shona I'll never leave you. I didn't think you will react like this, I just felt staying away would make you understand our relationship I didn't want you to have the fear of loosing.
D:: I love you a lot, I'm sorry I hurt you I pushed you away.
P:: okay shushhh now go to sleep
Pooja now has become a full time nanny and Dev has no issues if his wife changes him, cleans him, feeds him yells at him as long as she is with him. Somehow the fear of loosing Pooja made Dev vulnerable. He was looking for ways to keep Pooja close to him even if it was being a baby. Being the youngest in the house he was already used to getting pampered and now his wife does the same so he thinks this is normal, that's why when she was away Dev was not able to handle it.
After two days Dev is feeling much better at least today Dev was able to walk with the crutch still it was hard as he fractured his elbow so he couldn't put a lot of pressure, all the bruises were getting better.
Dev woke up in the morning and he didn't find her next to him, someone's not a happy camper today and as usual she forgot her phone. He called Dadi to find out if Pooja was there or not and she was not there, Dev was very angry. This time even Dadi was scared that he might yell at Pooja because everyone knows Dev needs to see Pooja when he wakes up, dadi called Nandini and she said Pooja was with her few minutes back but not anymore, dadi told her Dev was very angry and she hopes he doesn't say anything that hurts Pooja again.
Nandini runs out of her room and finds Pooja walking with a cup of coffee towards her room. She called Pooja and told her Dev was looking for you. She hurried back to the room when she opened the door she didn't find him in bed she knocked on the bathroom door he didn't reply.
P:: bubu I made coffee for you, have your coffee before you take shower okay shona?
After few minutes Dev came out limping cursed himself trying to walk without the crutch coz his ankle really hurts.
Before Pooja could help he reached the bed and sat down.
P:: hey sweetheart!! Good morning!! Did you sleep well?
(She tried to touch him but he didn't let her touch him)
P:: Devvvvvv!! What's wrong Bubu? I went to get coffee for you
D:: how many times I told you not to go anywhere till I wake up? On top of that you always forget your phone.
P:: awwwww!! Baby!!! Come to mommy give me a hug
D:: you know I can't come
Pooja laughs at the way he says it as he is sitting down trying not to look at her. She goes close to him giving him a kiss and then putting his head on her chest and hugging him
P:: why do you get so upset when I'm not here?
D:: I don't know but I just want you to myself only. I don't want you to go anywhere I want you to stay in front of my eyes all the time.
P:: but Dev may be there will be time I won't be able to stay in front of you all the time
D:: Pooja can we not talk about all that I just want to hug you now. By the way what are you doing all dressed up?
P:: remember I told you I have a very important meeting and I can't miss it so once you have your breakfast take a shower then I'll leave around 11 okay?
D:: you are going to leave me like this?
P:: Dev common look at me.. I'll be back soon okay. Alright have your coffee and take shower then we'll have breakfast with everyone.
After Pooja helped him taking shower she took him downstairs for breakfast so he can be with family when she is gone and he doesn't feel left out.
Vijay:: Good morning guys!! So Dev is out of his room. How u feeling son?
D:: I'm ok (he said it meekly)
Vijay:: what's wrong Dev?
D:: nothing
Vijay:: okay!! So Pooja are you going somewhere?
P:: yes dad I have a very important meeting and I can't miss it, don't worry I'll be back as soon as possible
Vijay:: what's there to be worried, we all know you work and what's the rush Beta take your time and do what you need to do
P:: oh no nothing like that it's just that I'm leaving Dev alone
Vijay:: Dev is not alone he has his mom & dadi and I think Disha will be here too with Pari. I see you've been working too much and don't spoil your husband so much that he completely depends on you.
P:: it's not like that dad, I want to come home early so we can spend some time together.
Vijay:: Dev your wife knows how to defend you well.
Nandini:: Vijay let it be, let the kids eat.
Vijay noticed that Pooja hardly ate anything coz she was busy feeding Dev and baby sitting Dev, Pooja has been ignoring herself for Dev and this is not healthy soon Pooja will get tired of this kind of pressure. Vijay knows Dev is still very young and he is not able to balance anything, he is going extreme in everything he is doing, he knows Dev gets little obsessed with everyone or everything he loves but his possessiveness can harm their relationship.
Vijay:: Pooja what time do you have to leave?
P:: oh I should leave now, Dev please don't forget your medicine and eat properly please baby okay? Please? (She pecked him on his lips) alright everyone I'll see you all soon. Dadi be nice to my husband
Dadi:: I was waiting for this Pooja now I won't spare your husband.
After she left they were still finishing their breakfast
Vijay:: Pooja didn't even eat properly
Nandini:: oh yea I didn't notice she haven't eaten anything
Vijay:: Dev what's happening beta?
D:: meaning?
Vijay:: I mean take it easy on that poor girl. Few days back you were ignoring her demeaning her and now you are not letting her do anything.
D:: Dev what have I done? I don't want to loose her I love her
Vijay:: beta we all want you to love your wife but you are obsessed with her, she can't even breathe it seems. Do you realize she comes from a family where everyone listened to her she has been pampered all her life and that girl literally doing all your work. You refused to have a nurse at home because you wanted Pooja to be with you. Make it easy for her she should enjoy her time with you and not feel pressured or obligated. Just because she pampers you doesn't mean you will take advantage of it.
Nandini:: Vijay it's not like that, Pooja is doing everything because she wants to.
Vijay:: Nandini please!! You are just happy that your son is getting what he wants, he is spoiled rotten and you are happy. Did you not see how Pooja was feeling guilty leaving Dev alone? She is always on a run that what Dev will be thinking or how he will be feeling. Dev are you forgetting that because of your extreme behavior Pooja went to her dad's place I just don't want you to go to extreme again that she wants to leave again.
D:: dad I love Pooja I don't ever want to do anything that hurts her
Vijay:: then beta take it easy, marriage is about sharing and understanding. If she does things for you because she enjoys it then that's great but don't put her in a situation where she feels obligated or forced. If you don't see her when you wake up instead of being angry just hug her and tell her you missed her. She shouldn't have to leave others and run to her husband just because her husband can't handle his emotions.
D:: dad you are not understanding, it was hard for me when she left, I can't handle separation
Vijay:: Dev I'm saying all these things because I don't want anything bad happening in your relation. Just put yourself in her shoes then you will understand beta. I want the best for both of you. How would you feel if your Disha Di had to leave everything just because of Raj, how do you think your sister would feel or go through?
Disha:: I would never even do what Pooja does, she puts up with your behavior I wouldn't
Vijay :: arrey Disha when did you come?
Everyone was happy to see Disha and PARI
Disha:: I just came when you were talking to Dev. I just thought I'll come and spend the day here as Pooja called me yesterday. Poor girl was worried that she has to attend the meetings and she was feeling guilty for leaving Dev home alone.
Disha:: Dev  I know you love her and you don't want to loose her, you are scared because she went to her dad's for few days. I understand bachcha but you gotta have a healthy space so both of you can breathe. Trust me Pooja won't leave you she loves you way too much.
Dev:: I'm sorry Di, I was scared... and you know me I overthink and I get obsessed...
Disha:: that I know, you were very mean to your Jiju in the beginning.
Dev chuckled 🤭
Rest of the day was fun because of Pari,Dev enjoyed playing with the little angel. He was upset that he couldn't carry PARI around because of his fractured elbow and even left hand had lot of bruises and pain which made everything difficult.
Raj came to pick up Disha around 5pm he sat around for sometime with them chit chatting and when they were about to leave Pooja came back. Who looked exhausted but still had a big smile who hugged Disha and said thank you for coming.
P:: thank you so much Di, I felt so relieved or else I would've worried the whole time
(Hearing this from Pooja Dev did think about it, that she is in some kinda pressure all the time)
Disha:: Pooja you shouldn't thank me for anything, can I not do this much for my brother? And anyway Pari needed to come out of the house too.
Raj:: how's everything going Pooja? Must be busy with the new hotel?
P:: yes Jiju it's getting crazy now, my head hurts trying to deal with the contractors.
Raj:: I know what you mean and they make your life miserable
Pooja sees Dev who doesn't look very happy, She gets worried and goes close to him
P:: hey sweetie!! How you doing? (She kisses him) are you okay?
D:: I'm fine sunshine!!! How was your day? You look exhausted.
P:: day was busy but after seeing you I'm feeling better. (Dev gives her a big smile)
Disha:: alright guys it's getting late we should leave
P:: noway Disha Di I just came and you want to take my PARI away so soon that's not happening
Disha:: no Pooja I'm not taking your PARI away but your Pari will start acting up soon
P:: don't worry I'll take care of her
Dadi:: Disha what's the rush beta? Stay for some more time and if you need some privacy with Raj you can go to your room and we will take care of Pari
Raj:: Dadi you are the best you always know what I want... I love you Dadi
Nandini:: yes beta stay till dinner your dad will be back too
Disha and Raj stayed back till dinner Pooja looked relaxed as Dev was being normal and not acting as a spoilt brat. This didn't stop Pooja from caring for Dev or not doing what she normally does but she was happily helping Dev rather than being obligated.
After Disha left everyone got ready to sleep Dev and Pooja also went back to their room. They were preparing to go to sleep, Pooja was helping Dev wash up and change. He was sitting on the bed while Pooja was taking off his T-shirt Dev was staring at her as she was being so gentle but at one point he winced lil bit and Pooja right away started saying sorry
D:: it's ok Pooja I'm fine, you didn't hurt me at all.
P:: but you winced
D:: baby listen to me, I got hurt it's normal to hurt but you didn't hurt me. Infact you never hurt me. I can't thank God enough for giving me a wife like you
I wish I could rock your world tonight (he smirked after he said that)
P:: seriously? Is that all you can think off all the time?
D:: ofcourse when you have such a hot wife in front of you what else can you think about? Unless my sexy wife wants to rock my world tonight 😏😏
P:: I don't want to hurt you
D:: don't worry you won't hurt me...
Dev pulled her lil close to him he kissed Pooja making her sit on his lap as she started grinding on his lap he swiftly pushed himself in her and let Pooja take the lead. That night Pooja fell asleep before Dev and he stared at his beautiful wife and thought to himself how lucky he was to have a wife like her. He told himself that there's no way he could loose her but then was it right to pressurize her to love him the way he loves her? He realized sometimes even after staying with each other you still feel disconnected because you are not together for love rather it's some kind of addiction or obligation. That night Dev promised to himself that he will try not to make Pooja feel forced.

Hi guys!! Just trying to show some phase of married life and different phases of a man's life their emotions specially of young men at this age when they are in love how everything changes for them.
Anyway I'm still going to continue with this story as long as I can but I also started writing #MishBir story so I will continue both together.
