D:: oh God!!! Pooja!!! Oh my God!!! We are pregnant!!! Pooja look at me!! Look at me!!! You are going to be a mom soon..
Dev kissed Pooja several times and hugged her tightly atlast even he ends up tearing up and now Pooja hugs him back and wipes his tears. They sat on the bathroom floor for quite sometime crying smiling hugging each other. Then Pooja said that it's better they don't talk about it now and give big hope to anyone, they should go to the doctor first and confirm the Pregnancy before announcing it to everyone. Dev agreed with Pooja and then they waited till Monday, that one extra day in between Saturday and Monday felt soooo long..
Monday 11 o'clock
Pooja and Dev reached the doctor's office.
Dr. Lydia Marziani and Italian elderly doctor and Pooja has been coming to her from a long time. Very experienced doctor who has no filter.
As they entered the office Dr. Lydia welcomes them she was happy to see Dev with Pooja and ofcourse she knew may be something good that's why they were here, but they looked little stressed.
Dr.L:: so are we baking something in the oven? Did Dev serve u some dough?
D:: I've been trying (says it with a chuckle)
P:: well as I told you over the phone that the result came positive but I have no idea when it happened because of my hormones.
Dr.L:: no problem my dear, let me draw some blood and we will do your ultrasound and figure out what's cooking.
She draws some blood and by the time she takes her vitals, the results are ready.
Dr. L:: okay!!!! So mom, dad congratulations the blood report is positive..
(Dev and Pooja looked relieved now and a big bright smiled flashed on their face)
So let's get ready for ultrasound. Shall we?
P:: yes ofcourse!!
DrL:: okay!!! Mom Dad get ready for double trouble
P::whaaat??
D:: double trouble meaning? What's wrong?
DrL:: Dad I see two fetus that means you guys are having twins
D:: Whaaaat?? Oh my God!!!
As we were expecting Pooja to get emotional seeing the ultrasound suddenly they heard someone sniffing and trying to wipe of his tears quickly
Dr.L:: oh I see the daddy crying here so get ready to get morning sickness daddy
D:: what? Morning sickness and me? Why am I going to get that?
Dr. L:: don't you know a lot of the times dad's get a lot of the symptoms and it's quite natural
(Dev got little nervous) okay let's move on and see how big is the babies are now. Mmmm so mommy you're babies are 6 weeks old and give me a second I'll let you both listen to the heartbeat. (She turns the audio on and Dev's reaction was priceless he took a sharp breath as if he is going breathless he held Pooja's hand so tightly that she looked at Dev with surprise.)
DrL:: everything else looks perfect and according to the size we can say your due date is around 10th April.
After the ultrasound the doctor prescribed some prenatal vitamins and told her to do normal things, nothing unusual, eat healthy, stay hydrated some light exercises.
DrL:: rest, you know the drill, everything stays normal even ur personal life. Daddy just no wild stuff okay?
D::(feeling shy) Yea ofcourse
Dr.L:: okay then Pooja I'll see you next month just make an appointment before you leave and if anything important comes up so call the emergency number to reach me.
P:: but Dr. Lydia I've been feeling so sick last few days, I'm tired I'm feeling weird, like thirsty almost every two minutes and my mouth feels so rusty that I wanna throw up.
DrL:: that's very normal in pregnancy
P:: but last time I didn't feel this way
DrL:: every pregnancy is different, may be last time you got lucky and you didn't have symptoms. From my personal experience I can say when I had my daughter it went pretty smooth and when I had my son I promised that I won't have any more children but I did end up having one more girl and that was in between. But nothing to worry about generally these symptoms starts to go away in the 2nd trimester and you have already completed half way to your first trimester. So Mom I'll see you next month...
D:: you'll see me too!!
DrL:: oh yes Daddy I'll see you too...
DevPoo planned that they will not give this news to the family like this, they will make something special  to announce such a big news. It's not only the pregnancy but also about having twins. Dev was still smiling ear to ear. He just sat in the car smiling.
P:: Dev are you even going to drive?
Dev just hugged Pooja and gave her a slurpy big tight kiss..
D:: I forgot to say this but congratulations Mommy (he still has tears in his eyes)
P:: congratulations to you too Daddy!! (She wiped his tears as he wiped hers and hugged each other)
D:: I can't believe it... God has been so kind to us, he has given us back everything in double
P:: yes Dev He gave us back everything....
D:: so what's the plan now?
P:: let's go shopping so that we can buy gifts for the grand parents and Dadi and Bua and Maasi because we will invite them for dinner tomorrow. We will tell them whatever happened last year we want to say a prayer and start fresh. But please Dev don't let anyone know anything okay?
D:: okay baby okay!!
P:: okay start driving and I'll send text in the family WhatsApp group
Right away everyone started replying and they all agreed to come for dinner. DevPoo bought some gifts for everyone. Then they had lunch and Pooja was so sleepy that Dev had no choice but to bring her back home.
Nandini:: Pooja beta how are you feeling now? Everything okay?
P:: yes maa everything's fine may be it was too much heat and no rest that's it...
Dev just turned around his face so that his mom couldn't understand anything
Dadi:: Pooja so what's happening tomorrow? Anything special beta?
P:: no Dadi nothing special but me and Dev felt that we should have dinner together as it's been one year now and we think we need to say a prayer and move on
Dadi:: beta that's a very good idea.. also after the camping I'm missing everyone
Next day Dinner::
Everyone came and it was a happy environment and everyone was happy to come together.
But one thing was strange that everything came as a pair or double. All the drinks that was served was for example mango/strawberry, strawberry/kiwi peach/mango, even the napkins had two colors. Everyone was thinking what's with the new theme as they thought it was a normal dinner but somehow it looked more like a theme dinner. After the dinner DevPoo started giving gifts to everyone and they did it one at a time starting from Dadi and she opened her gift then the parents and everyone got their gifts and at the end Pooja handed over Pari's gift and Disha opened the gift
Disha:: WOW a gold chain with a pendant!! Let's see what it says... Whaaaaaat???? What the!!!!!
Raj:: Jaanu what's wrong? What happened?
Disha:: Read it!!
Raj:: Oh my God!! Oh my God!!
Dadi:: are you guys going to tell us what the hell is going on?
Disha:: Dadi Pari is going to be a Big sister
Everyone together:: what?
Disha:: Yessss Pooja and Dev are expecting
This was the happiest news after a long time and everyone congratulated each other and DevPoo
Dev:: alright everyone please settle down, we need to say something else so please take a seat because this might just give u a shock too
Poonam :: Dev please don't give us heart attack please tell us before I pass out
Dev:: so everyone as you all know now we are pregnant so obviously I will be taking a lot of days off from work and Dad you can't be angry with me
Vijay:: okay that's accepted you so have a good reason
D:: Also Pooja will work whenever she wants so dad please make sure you have a bed in Pooja's office because she can't keep her eyes open.
Randeep:: no worries Dev Beta that will be done
Disha:: Dev what's there to get surprised or shocked?
D:: Di wait I'm coming to that now!! So everyone please practice sleeping less hours and multitasking try to use both your hands at the same time and make sure everyone practices that.
Raj:: Dev I thought you are having a baby but why we have to do all that?
D:: Jij trust me you will need that!!! Okay everyone the last part, please select two boys names and two girls names
Randeep:: okay (pause) TWO? Why two?
Nandini:: what? Are you kidding me? Two?
Dev:: Yessss I'm talking about twins
Everyone:: what? Twins?
Dadi:: wow our first twins of the family...
That night was full of fun and laughter...
After few days
In the morning Dev went running to the bathroom he wasn't feeling well he even threw up and then the whole day he felt worse thinking he is going to have morning sickness from now on... so Pooja had to baby him that day because he felt light headed he threw up but there was noway Pooja could remind him that he with his friend played games whole night and he ate junk food whole night and had few beers. Dev kept saying he is getting pregnancy symptoms as the doctor said it was normal for husbands.
Pooja's pregnancy symptoms are very different this time, she has not been feeling well, she feeling light headed, she is not able to eat her favorite food all she wants is spicy food. She has been feeling the morning sickness but it still didn't hit as hard as it hit Dev. As usual Pooja is back to babying Dev as he is also having mood swings sometimes he becomes very serious sometimes he gets very emotional or becomes like aBaby and sometimes he becomes too romantic and tonight it's romantic mode on.
Pooja was just lil more than 2 months pregnant now and she was trying out some dresses for Pari's 1st birthday next week. Dev was watching her change different dresses and not able to decide which one to wear, as she stood there wearing her bra and a shorts Dev walked towards her as she was standing in front of the mirror she saw Dev coming
P:: Dev are you going to help me or not?
Dev hugged her from behind
D:: what's the problem peanut?
P:: Dev nothing fits me and nothing is looking good on me
D:: baby what do you mean nothing fits me? You just bought these dresses three days back how can they not fit you?
Gliding his hand over her tummy and rubbing it gently
D:: look at you, who would say you are pregnant? You still have flat tummy everything else is so proportionate...
Somebody felt some kind of heat in his body he felt a spark and he started making patterns on her smooth skin and gently unhooked her bra
P:: Dev!! What you doing?
D:: what I should be doing
His hands reaches her plump bosom as he starts kneading them
P:: that's actually feels good... they've been hurting so much
D:: I know I read the other day that the glands starts opening up the your breasts starts hurting but I'm here I'll fix it for you
P: what else you are going to fix?
D:: everything!!! But for now I'll fix the ache between ur legs for that you need Dr Dev
Dr Dev carries his patient in bridal style and fixes all her aches.
Pooja's morning sickness is full blown now not only that her pregnancy this time is totally different from last time. She has been throwing up non stop she is not able to eat. Her body aches are killing her she already has water retention in this early stage but according to the doctors this is normal happens in many pregnancies.
It's the 14th week of her pregnancy and today is a very important day for DevPoo as today's ultrasound will check if the babies are physically growing right and there's no disabilities. Also now they are big enough to see the gender.
DevPoo waiting eagerly for the doctor to check everything. Before the doctor came in the practitioner nurse got everything ready took the measurements and everything and then the doctor came in.
The doctor checked everything the size of the head and the brain checked all the fingers toes measured everything. Dev was shaking out of nervousness but he still held Pooja's hand. But at the end everything was fine the babies looked perfect.
Dr..:: so mom dad is there any question? Something that you didn't understand or you want to know
D:: can I get the cd please
Dr:: hahahah don't worry daddy will give you the pics. So are you guys interested to know the gender
