Thanksgiving a popular holiday in America:
Ofcourse thanksgiving didn't work out the way Pooja thought it would be but Dev's mom made sure to make Pooja's first thanksgiving with them very special and also this was Pari's first thanksgiving. She invited Pooja's family including her uncle and cousins.Bua ji and family was back in town.
Dev is doing much better now, he is able to walk normally and his elbow is much better, he just needs to be careful. But sometimes he does some extra over acting to get his wife's attention.
Mean while Mark announced about his girlfriend who somehow he met during Dev's wedding. She is Indian by origin and a dentist they have been talking with each other it's been a while and atlast they made it official and her name is Simi Sharma. But our Jazz is still single and he has no regret at all he loves his freedom and he shamelessly comes between the couples.
Thanksgiving day was very emotional for everyone, as everyone had to say what they were thankful for and and each of them said things which made every one emotional. But today Dadi was the star..
D:: common Dadi it's your turn to say what you are thankful for...
Dadi:: oh well if I start mentioning everything then it will take forever and I'm sure you want to go back to your room tonight and romance your wife...
Everyone laughed at Dadi's PJ
Dadi:: anyway I will still say few important things, first of all I want to say thank you to these Americans to celebrate a day where you actually get a reminder that hey it's time you thank people and then I want to thank my late husband who believed in progression and said he wants to celebrate all the festivities from all the cultures, he didn't want to be a stick up and just follow one thing. He taught me  open myself and spread my wings, we came to America as young couple and my husband did not stop me for anything he let me explore. Then ofcourse I can't thank God enough to give me two beautiful children who only gave me happiness, who turned up to be good human. But I am more Thankful to my son in law who has taken care of my daughter who has given her the exact freedom that my husband gave me and then ofcourse they gave me two more grand kids who are so smart and beautiful kids. My biggest Thanks goes to Nandini my daughter in law who has taken charge of this family after my husband passed away. I was shattered, I had no strength to continue taking care of this family she has taken care of me my son and her own kids without ever complaining. Vijay and Nandini together has given me so much happiness they gave me two grandkids and again I'm thankful that both of them found the most precious partners who has become the pillars of this family and not to forget I must thank their parents who contributed to my happiness. I don't know how fortunate or unfortunate I am that I've seen losses and I've seen new members in the family. In this age to see your grandkids suffers was really hard but then God was kind enough to give us PARI to fill up the void space. Last but not the least I must thank Mark and Jazz who are my partners in crime, who selflessly loves us. Supports us more than any family member could do.
Mark:: don't forget to write my name in your will!!
Jazz:: yo dadi me too
Dadi:: why should I write a will I'm not dying anytime soon.
Nandini:: alright everyone I just want to ask something and then you all can decide if you are up for it or not. I actually thought today is the best day to ask this as we have the family together. So I was just thinking that in last one year a lot of things happened, some good and some bad but ofcourse we are thankful that we were able to overcome all the hurdles and today we are all gathered here and we are happy. Last year if you all remember we all spend time together and celebrated New Years and ofcourse Dev and Pooja's life started from there. So I was thinking why don't we all go on vacation together. Start our New Year together and start all over again.
Randeep/: wow that's a brilliant idea!!! Bhabi ji have you thought of any place or anything?
Nandini:: bhaisaab I only thought about the idea just now so really didn't think about the place.
Randeep:: no problem at all, I have a place in my mind and ofcourse if everyone is up for it then I can suggest.
Vijay:: ofcourse samdhi ji go ahead!
Randeep:: I actually have a resort in Vegas and what else can be better than Vegas for New Years? Because what happens in Vegas
Vijay:: stays in Vegas
Kapoor Uncle:: Bhai wah can I forget my wife in Vegas?
Kapoor Aunty:: oh great!! Please forget me there I can get married in one day without any problem I'll find some guy with six pack
Kapoor uncle:: Raj get ready to compete in the gym with your new step dad
Raj:: as long as he baby sits PARI I'm fine with it.
After the party was over everyone went home happy.
DevPoo's bedroom
Pooja applying lotion on her legs and Dev waiting for his wife to come to bed
D:: Pooja how long you will take to come
P:: why don't you go to sleep
D:: why should I go to sleep and I still have to thank you as I didn't get a chance to thank you properly.
Pooja walking close to Dev who was dangling his feet sitting on the bed and when she came close to him he almost froze.
P:: okay I'm here now thank me properly
D:: I mean......
p:: common I'm waiting...... if you have nothing to say then I'm going to sleep
Dev stops her I have a lot of thing to thank you for...
Dev stands up cups her face and kisses her
D:: I wanna thank your lips for kissing me everytime when I need to be loved
He takes her  hand and kisses her fingers
Your fingers for satisfying my sense of touch
He pulls her T-shirt off he places his hand on her bosom and suckling on to her nipples he said
I wanna thank you for giving me the comfort whenever I felt lost. He lays her down on the bed taking the last piece of cloth off of her he runs through his finger all over her legs and reaching her core then he kissed her there
D:: I wanna thank you for giving me the satisfaction that I can make a difference to you..
That night Dev made sure he thanked his wife properly and Pooja felt appreciated...
Later that night they lay in bed and for the first time in months they actually talked about future, about planning a family. It has been a sensitive issue for both of them, they did talk about their pain how much they were hurt but they never talked about having another baby. Some how both of them avoided the thought of having a baby. Last time when it happened they didn't know anything they didn't plan anything, they went with the flow but now things have changed they have experienced something painful, they were scared. When something just happens you somehow manage to deal with it but when you are asked to go through that same situation then you get scared and you back up.
P:: Dev can I ask you something?
D:: hmmm yes jaan
P:: you remember my due date?
Dev looked at her as she had her head on his chest, he couldn't figure out why she was asking this?
P:: if we still had PARI then we would be getting ready and anticipating her birth, just another two weeks and she would've been here with us.
D:: Pooja !!!!! Plsssss!!! Why are you thinking of all that? Why do you want to hurt yourself?
P:: but Dev that's the truth, in just two weeks we would've become mommy and daddy.
(Tears rolled down from the side of her eyes on to Dev's chest, he immediately cupped her face looked at her intensely)
D:: Pooja stop crying please! Please don't do this to me. It was not destined to be like this, we can't stop living because something happened in the past. Right Jaan? Yes? Look at me.. right baby?
P:: yes Dev!! I'm sorry... I'm trying I promise but once in a while the thought keeps coming back.
D:: sweetie I know it's not easy and specially for you who was growing a life inside you, you were carrying her she was inside you and I know it's not easy, but do you think......
P:: do I think what Dev?
D:: Pooja do you think you would like to experience it one more time?
(There was a long pause)
P:: De... Dev!!!
D:: look sweetie... I'm not saying we have to try right away but we can at least start thinking about it.
P::I'm scared Dev
D:: I know I know baby, even I'm scared but we didn't do anything purposely it was an accident.
P:: do you really want a baby?
Dev nodded yes....
P:: will that make you happy?
D:: won't that make you happy?
P:: Dev o do want our own child but I'm nervous...
D:: why are you nervous? I'm here with you my family is there your family is there, there's nothing to be nervous. Remember when Di kept PARI with us for two days, you took care of Pari and me. You changed her diapers and changed me you fed PARI and fed me. I can already tell you will be the best mother
P:: and what about you?
D:: hmmmmm I mean I'll be the best dad too but I can't see kids crying then I feel like crying too
P:: you are silly Dev... you really know how to make me smile and take my stress off of me.
D:: so should we try now? (Smiling ear to ear)
P:: Devvvvvvv!! You are just impossible!!
D:: mmmmmm please!!! Let's try once only?
As Dev was working on her, today she was in a different world, she was thinking about what Dev has said, he does want a child. She was not being herself. Even when Dev was making love to her all she thought was is she ready for it?
Times flies real quick after thanksgiving coz people start getting busy for Christmas and on top of that the family has decided to go on vacation to Vegas. Not only that year end is always busy even in all businesses so everyone was busy everything was stressful.
Pooja missed her period and this time she was very nervous but she did not tell Dev anything, it's been two weeks already and she had no symptoms of getting her period. She went and bought a pregnancy test kit and did the test and it came out negative. She was shocked as she thought she was pregnant. She talked to Disha and Disha even did a blood test to make sure but no she was not pregnant. Disha told her that may be she is going through some hormonal changes which is very normal after miscarriage or if you are stressed.  She gave her medicine to bring her cycle back to normal.
This was all few days before Christmas Pooja was keeping to herself she was not very cheerful and atlast Dev asked her what's happening why is she being so different.
Just a week before Christmas, at night in bed, Dev was just caressing her and his hand just stopped on her breast and he started playing with he nipples and she winced.
D:: what's wrong? You okay?
P:: no I'm fine I just got my period so everything's sensitive.
D:: oh I'm sorry baby, actually I'm little lost with your dates nowadays. Did you get it late.
P:: two weeks late and I thought i was pregnant.
D:: ohhh that's why I saw that kit in the bathroom the other day.
P:: Dev for you it's simple but for me it's not. It's not fun not getting your period on time. People anticipate for some good news but it turns out my hormones have gone crazy
D:: hey sweetie what's wrong why you getting so worked up. Take it easy baby!!! It's gonna be fine soon. Just relax and stop stressing.
After all the problems now Pooja has to face another problem which was internal a physical problem and it's normal to have hormonal imbalances but it only gets worse when you are more stressed about it. Most doctors would suggest not to think about it and not to stress.. now Pooja made up her mind that this vacation she won't drink any alcoholic beverages she will be careful and she will take every precaution before anything wrong happens. She just didn't realize that she was only harming herself by restricting herself in baby making. Stress is the main enemy, it can change everything in your body.
Dev is getting worried and cursing himself for talking about having a baby because he didn't want to put Pooja in a position where she feels obligated to do things. Having a baby is no obligation he wants Pooja to be happy, he wanted her to come out of the past but he didn't realize that her past can make his wife go crazy. Dev decided to talk to his sister and thought of meeting her.
Dev went to Disha's place and he was so excited to see Pari, he just can't have enough of her.
Disha:: Dev you came alone?
D:: Di I just wanted to discuss something so didn't want Pooja to be here
Disha:: is everything okay?
D:: no Di, nothing's okay now
Disha:: what do you mean?
D:: Di, recently me and Pooja talked about moving on, we just felt we should try for a baby, actually I felt this might help her move on and she seemed to be okay but now things are bad.
Disha:: babu what's happening?
D:: Pooja has gone crazy now she is stressing over everything, she is restricting herself from everything.  Now she wants everything to go according to the calendar. She was freaking out that she is not pregnant even though her period was late.
Disha:: Yea I know I did her blood test, I told her not to stress she is going through hormonal imbalances and gave her medicine.
D:: Di now she thinks she has some problem and taking it very personally. You believe she told me we should have sex every other day as that will keep a good speed count. Like seriously, we haven't even started trying for a baby, we are newly married I'm not desperate to have kids it will happen when it does I only suggested about another baby co I know Pooja was still suffering, but I didn't think she'll get stuck up in another thing.
Disha:: okay Dev calm down now you don't stress yourself. Why don't you tell her that you are in no rush but you will be happy if it happens naturally just like last time.
D:: I did talk to her, she told me she gets my point and she is not stressing, but now she is stressing over everything and not even sharing anything with me co she knows I'll tell her not to stress.
Disha:: okay don't worry I'll talk to Pooja.
Dev came back home::
D:: hey sweetheart ( 💋)
P:: Dev just have a look what you want to wear for Christmas? I selected three suits now you pick which one you like
Dev sniffing around her neck and hair
D:: you can pick anything darling
Dev was trying to get romantic but Pooja stopped him
P:: Dev we need to be careful, we just can't do it like before, we need to have a routine
This really got to Dev now and he snapped ...

Hola readers... hope you are liking the story so far... lot more will come up, just thought of writing a very common issue between married couples when they are trying to have a baby a lot of things can happen. Women does freak out and behave quite abnormal and they do drive their man crazy. Anyway hope u guys are also reading Ajeeb Dastaan in case you are not so give it a try.
