I sit on the couch and finish my water. Did that really just happen? I think he was flirting with me.
I huff grumpily and put the empty water bottle down. Tsu, who I consider to be my best friend at this point, comes to sit with me.
"Y/N, you look extremely red. Are you okay? Ribbit."
"Hey Tsu! Yeah I'm okay."I laugh nervously. "Bakugou was just flirting with me in the kitchen, so I'm freaking out a bit."
"I don't see why you're freaking out. You both like each other that's good. Ribbit."
"You're right. I just never expected to fall for him. I hated him when we first met. I don't know what changed, but at least he likes me too." I shrug. "I'm going to sit here for a few more minutes. You can go back to the dance floor if you want." I smile at her.
"Okay. I expect you to come join us again soon. Ribbit." She smiles and walks away.
As soon as I feel I've rested enough I join the girls again. I'm a good dancer, if I do say so myself. The others are too. It's been a while since I could be carefree like this.
As it gets later, Bakugou still hasn't joined me and I'm a little hurt by it. I requested a song, hoping that we could get the wallflowers onto the dance floor.
"Okay everyone! Y/N insisted on this song. She promised, it's easy to learn how the dance goes and she'll teach us!" Mina yells nodding at Jirou to play the song.
"The Wobble" comes on and the girls freak out. "I love this song!" Mina squeals at me.
"If you know it, get in the front. If you don't, follow me I'll show you how it's done!" I yell.
We're about halfway through the song and it seems like everyone who wanted to dance or learn the dance has gotten it. I'm proud of my classmates.
Someone taps me on my shoulder while we're dancing and it's Mina. "Y/N you did it, look!" She points to the back of the group where I see a certain ash blonde boy dancing.
"Awesome!" I high five her and get back into the dance.
As the song ends I'm getting super tired. "I'm going to take a break." I tell the girls. And I go sit on one of the couches.
"I'm so tired." I say. Out if the corner of my eye I see someone sit down next to me and hand me an uncapped water bottle.
"Thanks!" I say turning to see that it was Bakugou.
"Tch. You're welcome."
I drink the water not sure if I should say anything.
"Finish that and I'll dance with you." He says. "From your dancing earlier, I think you can probably keep up with me."
I almost spit out the water I was drinking. "Wow. Another compliment. I'm surprised Bakugou."
"Tch. I keep my promises, dumbass."
"Back to name calling." I sigh and finish my water. "You're really confusing Bakugou."
"Huh?"
"You're confusing!" I groan. "One minute you hate me, the next you're flirting with me calling me by my actual name, and then you revert back to being rude. I don't get it."
"Tch. Whatever." He mumbles.
"I'm not drunk enough for this." I get up and decide to grab another drink.
Tsu runs over to me. "What's wrong Y/N? Ribbit."
"I don't get Bakugou at all. He went from being flustered, cute, and flirting, to asshole who talks down to me."
"Maybe he doesn't know how to act? Ribbit." She offers, "I don't think he's really liked anyone before. At least not that we've been aware of. It could be that he's wrestling with his feelings, like you were earlier today. Ribbit."
"You make a good point Tsu."
"I know. Ribbit." She waves at me and walks over to Tokoyami.
I finish mixing my drink and look around for Bakugou. "Where did he go? He's not where I left him. Maybe I can ask Kiri?"
I decide that's a good idea and go find Kiri. "Hey Kiri!"
"Hey Y/N. Did you need something?"
"Yeah. I was looking for Bakugou. Any idea where he is?"
"He came up to me and said he was going to bed. Something about being tired and training tomorrow."
"Thanks Kiri!" I smile. "I should get going too. Have a good night!"
"You too!" He flashes a toothy grin. I place my cup down, no longer wanting more to drink and go to my floor.
Should I knock on his door? Should I leave him alone? What do I do? I wonder.
I decide to knock on his door. If I didn't do it, I'd be up all night worrying if I'd made a bad choice. I knock twice.
"Oi! What the fuck do you want?" Bakugou yells before opening his door. When his door opens my breath hitches for a second. He's shirtless.
"Damn."
"What was that Banshee?"
Fuck did I just say that out loud? No!
"Sorry I um..." A blush creeps up my face. I don't even know what to say.
"Oi spit it out or I'm closing the door!" He yells.
"Right. Sorry. Look Bakugou, I... Ugh your shirtless and it's distracting."
"Like what you see?" He smirks.
"And what if I do?" I smirk back.
His face turns as red as mine probably is. Honestly, I don't know why I'm being so forward right now.
"Fuck it." He says and pulls me in for a kiss. I'm surprised for a minute, but then close my eyes. He wraps his arms around my waist, pulling me closer. After a minute or so, I pull back trying to get some air.
"Woah." I sigh out.
"I've wanted to do that all night." He confesses.
"Really?"
"Yes dumbass, why would I kiss you if I didn't want to?"
"Okay you're right. Can you stop calling me dumbass? I like Banshee better if you don't want to use my name."
"Tch. Whatever Y/N." I blush hearing him call me by my name again.
"I like hearing you say my name." He blushes again.
"Fuck. Y/N! Stop saying cute things!"
I pout. "Fine. Anyway I'm tired so goodnight Bakugou." I pull out of his arms and get into my room closing the door behind me.
I take off my party outfit and get ready for bed. Tomorrow's going to be a long day. Or maybe just an interesting one. I think before closing my eyes and drifting off to sleep.
