If the World was Ending by JP Saxe and Julia Michaels
If the world was ending, you'd come over right?
You'd come over and you'd stay the night
Would you love me for the hell of it?
All our fears would be irrelevant

If the world was ending, you'd come over right?
The sky'd be falling and I'd hold you tight
And there wouldn't be a reason why
We would even have to say goodbye

CHAPTER FIFTY

"Can you see me? Does it mean it works?" Nina waved her hand in front of a security camera in the store. In her other hand was her phone as she was talking to Victoria's work landline.

"You look like a child," Victoria snorted. "I still don't get why I'm connected to the new security system you modified."

"For security purposes. Don't you wanna know if I'm safe?" Nina pouted a little still facing the camera in the store knowing that her sister could see her. "I mean, it's pretty cool don't you think?" she added proudly knowing she worked day and night on this security system.

"Of course I wanna know if your safe its just this app is taking so much of my storage. Like what am I gonna do with sudden surveillance with the bodega?" Victoria questioned.

"If someone tries to shop lift you could be a witness and testify," Nina smiled with a shrug as Victoria shook her head even though she knew Nina couldn't see her.

"I mean that's not even the half of it! I hooked up the system to Berto and Angelica's phone. And there's this emergency button where you either alert the others in the system and the police as well. Like you don't gotta be here to exactly know what's up-"

"That- that sounds good Nina," Victoria cut off. "H-how long exactly have you been working on this?" She stammered noticing how tired she looked in the morning.

"Well, as coding goes and the wiring and other stuff I think I'd say three or four days," Nina shrugged. "Why you ask?"

"Okay. And when was the last time you've slept?"

"What are you talking about I sleep!"

"Taking naps during your breaks and around dinner time isn't sleep," Victoria argued back with concern. "When what the last time you had a decent goodnight's sleep?"

Nina sighed as she turned her back on the camera and walked back to the counter. "How long has it been since they all left?" She asked waving to Berto who was so happy with the system.

"Two weeks??? I thought you've been working on this for three or four days??" Victoria exclaimed through the phone.

"You know thinking about it maybe I did work on this for about five days-"

"Ay, Nina!"

"V! It's fine I'm totally fine," Nina forced before yawning. "I've got a lot of things piled up that's all. With tutorial sessions and me fixing other people's stuff," she rubbed her eyes.

"Cos why'd you have to get commissions on fixing other people's stuff? I should have never made you fixed that amplifier," Victoria groaned putting her hand up to her temple.

"I need to pay Spooky back for those flights. You know I feel guilty about those kinds of things," Nina yawned once more. "V, I'm telling you I am fine."

"You are not and what you need is sleep," Victoria said sternly. "Nina, you're the smart one. Tell me the effects of sleep deprivation," she rolled her eyes and began tapping away on her phone.

"Yawning, moodiness, fatigue, irritability, forgetfulness- who are you texting?" Nina rambled until she had heard her sister tapping on her keyboard.
