Kimiko Udai groaned, her eyelids fluttering open due to unwelcomed beams of light hitting her face. It was currently noon and the sun was at it's highest point of the day. "I could have sworn I closed the curtains before going to bed", she grumbled, rolling over to check her phone.Onigiri Miya 🍙
What did you do to make Atsumu come home at 1am acting like a lunatic? I need to know how so I can do it tooo.Furrowing her brows in confusion, Miya? 'It's probably Osamu judging by the fact that he mentioned Atsumu as a lunatic', she reasoned before typing back. She could visualize devil horns sprouting on his head.
Strawberry Short-cake 🍰
Is this Osamu-san? I'm not sure why he came home at 1, we left the arcade around 8.
Also, how did you get my number?Putting her phone back on the night stand Kimiko stood up and stretched her shoulders. 'Ah, that feels good', she sighed and walked over to her closet. Honestly, being a host wasn't half bad. She just had to walk around, talk, and be friendly; most of the time she was just watching other teams play.
She loved watching everyone get into the game, their effort also motivated her to improve at volleyball too. After slipping on a light weight sweater, she tied her hair into 2 loose braids. Satisfied with her reflection, she's walked over to the cabinet to find some food. 'Onigiris!', she perked up when she saw the little rice balls. The hotel was certainly generous with the food supply. 'Maybe I should give some to Osamu, or actually, everyone on Inarizaki. There's no way I'll finish them all', she thought staring at the cabinet filled with around 20 onigiris. 'There's also milk bread', she nodded in approval.
Quickly gobbling up two onigiris and stuffing 10 in her bag, she put on a pair of white converse and headed out the door.
...
'It's getting kinda lonely being in a hotel by myself. I should ask Bokuto and Akaashi to come over sometime', Kimiko thought as she spotted a certain tall, grey-haired guy with the rest of his team. "Osamu-san, would you like some ongiris, there were too many at the hotel I'm staying at", she walked up to the twin.
"I figured you would like them since your contact name literally has Onigiri in it", she lightly snickered causing Osamu to blush, embarrassed. "Y-yes, thank you Kimiko-san", he responded, eagerly staring at the bag of onigiris that Kimiko held in her hand.
"Oh, I brought plenty if the everyone wants some as well ~", she added. Instantly, everyone's eyes lit up, eager for food. 'An angel has bestowed upon us! Is this what it feels like to have a manager?', they thought in unison, internally sobbing as Kimiko handed them each an Onigiri. Oh the power of food.
Turning to their coach, the players looked back with pleading eyes causing Coach Noriume to sigh. "We can't have a manager because everyone who signs up is an annoying fangirl", Suna explained nonchalantly, giving a look to Atsumu. "It's not my fault those squealing pigs keep applying for the manager position!" Atsumu defended with his mouth full.
"Anyways, that was all. I'll leave you guys to practice then", Kimiko beamed at the team. She grew rather fond of everyone at Inarizaki already even though she only met most of them a few days ago. "Bye Kimiko-san/Udai-san", they spoke in unison, turning around to head towards their next practice match. All of them, except 1.
Atsumu walked up to Kimiko, wrapping his arms around her causing Kimiko to stiffen before relaxing. A blush adorned her cheeks as he tenderly nestled his jaw on the top of her head. "Y'er so cute", Atsumu said softly, stepping away to ruffle the girl's hair. Then, before Kimiko could open her mouth to respond, the twin already was running back to his team. 'The tips of his ears are so red, he looks adorable', she mused with a little smile before also walking away.
'There's still a couple onigiris left, who should I give it too', Kimiko pondered setting her gaze on a certain bed head captain. "Tetsuro-san!" she called out to the middle blocker causing him to turn towards her. "Do you want an onigiri?" she asked and the blocker gave her a grin. "Hell yeah I do. Especially if its from my favorite kitten", he added to which Kimiko rolled her eyes.
"Here", she took his hand placing a rice ball in it. "I had too many in my hotel cabinet to finish by myse- "
"Thank you", Kuroo interupted patting her on the head, chuckling when she pouted at him. "You should stop pouting before I can't resist and stop you myself", he chuckled before walking away, waving back at the brunette. "Fuck, this always happens", he growled under his breath, leaning his head to hide the dark blush."What is it with everyone touching my hair today", Kimiko moaned exasperated. "I even put the effort in to braid it and now it probably looks like a pair of crows decided to host a face off on top of it.
...
"Bokuto your spikes were so cool today!" Kimiko hyped up the ace while Akaashi silently watched the pair. 'They're both like kids sometimes-well actually, Bokuto is always a kid', Akashi thought with a little huff.
"Introducing my temporary living head quarters for the week", Kimiko introduced which provoked a tiny upturn on Akaashi lips. He thought it was cute how cheerful she was at times. The trio entered the main entrance and rode the elevator up to Kimiko's floor. "Wow wow wow! You live so high up!", Bokuto shouted as the elevator doors opened up.
"And this is my room~", Kimiko told him happily, taking out her card to swipe. Upon entering the room, Bokuto immediately hopped on the bed while Akaashi studied the large room. "Ok guys, what movie should we watch?", Kimiko asked while she scrolled through Netflix. "Haha, there's this anime called Haikyuu with characters that look like you guys", she snickered and continued to scroll.
"Let's watch HunterxHunter. I've heard its really good and stuff", Bokuto explained animatedly. Both Kimiko and Akaashi agreed.
A few hours later ...
"Why is that clown moaning", Kimiko shivered leaning into the side of her bed near Akaashi. While Bokuto and Akaashi sat on the bed, Kimiko was on the floor because she wanted something to lean on.
Unconsciously, Akaashi's fingers started to play with Kimiko's brown locks. He always did have a habit of fiddling with his hands. 'They're so soft and silky', he thought as he continued to weave his fingers through them. Kimiko let out a relaxed sigh, leaning further into Akaashi's hands causing the male to blush at the sound.
'She can't sigh like that while we're right next to a bed', Akaashi internally screamed.
"Akaashi, your fingers are really long. Do you play an instrument?" Kimiko asked, completely oblivious to the steam coming off the brunette's face as a direct result of her grasping his fingers with her hands to study them."Akaashi plays piano I think", Bokuto answered, also completely oblivious to his setter's deteriorating mental state.
"Ohh, My mom also made me learn piano when I was younger too", Kimiko leaned back to look at Akaashi after not hearing a response. Something was wrong she realized.
"Akaashi, are you ok? Your face is really red". She reached up to feel his forehead but the setter grabbed her hand before she could.
"I'm fine", he said, averting his eyes from her gaze.
Kimiko realized he was uncomfortable and shook it off. "If you say so ~. But if you feel sick or anything let me know ok?" She instructed him, feeling satisfied when she got a nod from the guy. Glancing at the clock to check the time she jumped up, "you guys should leave before your team gets worried, it's already 9". Kimiko grabbed the remote to pause the episode and led the two towards the door. "Bye guys! And Bokuto, make sure Akaashi doesn't collapse on the street", she pushed the two out the door and waved goodbye.
"Jeez, I feel kinda bad for keeping them over so late", she frowned, picking back up the remote to unpause. 'I guess I'll just finish the rest of the series by myself', she shrugged. Another 44 episodes was an easy feat for her.
