What what what,
why are we all out
in nature touching critters?
Hahaha! I have never ever felt the urge
To interrupt a wee thing and pick it up!
What is that all about!
Though I do like up close visits
From lady bugs and butterflies.
And a few lizards I have met
We have so so so so many
brown and black widows
who did not get the rule sheet
about dark places
and keep building webs OVER the front door,
no doubt to catch and eat us.
That ma’am
Is not SAFER AT HOME
and you are in the SUN.
Stop it at once!
Well cats need to be bothered!
I have had a dragonfly
land on me when younger,
we had a lovely Koi pond.
Dragonflies will sit on you
if they get to know you,
and they will pass the memory down.
i dont like bothering critters
they bother me more
than i will ever have the desire
to bother them
I only bother critters by taking pictures
Also: I don’t bother the Hairy Caterpillars,
that irritate the shit out of your skin
if you touch them.
I forget what kind they are, but
I know those are a problem.
Also also: I’ve had toads pee
when I’ve picked them up before.
Sometimes toads just shouldn’t
be sitting out on the sidewalk!
Usually the more interesting looking a bug is
the worse of an idea it is to touch it
ever picked up a handful of millipedes
and forget they they secrete the smelly stuff
when stressed?...i have
I have found snake millipedes
in my area back home
they sit on my hand
i think my hand smelled vaguely
like upset millipedes
for a couple days
Always wear gloves
if you’re gonna touch bugs
As a general rule
Oh goodness!

Now I never ever have to do that!
