jungkook had been conventionally attractive for about six and a half minutes before people started treating him differently.
honestly, he didn't think that people would react this way to a simple outfit and hair change but it really seemed to affect them. people took double takes every chance they got and there was even a small group of underclass girls following him around, squealing and giggling whenever jungkook turned around to do anything.
it was weird. he didn't know if he liked it or was confused by it. jungkook wasn't a fan of having the spotlight on him usually but people were actually giving him the time of day, teachers knew his name, the lady at the coffee shop in the library gave him a larger size for free. there were many perks to being pretty.
even though being followed was just a bit too creepy.
taehyung seemed to be enjoying it. "ooh~. you got yourself a little fan club." his shoulder bumps with the younger's and it doesn't seem to phase them that the group of girls squeal once more.
"do you wanna bet how long it'll take before they get bored and leave me alone?" they had to leave at some point. i mean, all they were doing was following jungkook and taehyung from class to class, standing near them during the break, and loitering around their lockers. doesn't that get boring?
"oh they'll never leave. trust me, bogum has his own little group too." he juts his chin forward to point at the other group of girls giggling at the tall older. they behaved in a similar fashion of cooing over him but they kept their feelings to themselves and resorted to practically drooling whenever bogum was in their vicinity.
"teenage girls are interesting."
jungkook chuckles. "oh yeah? what makes you say that?"
"i don't know. like, the whole following the new hot guy around in school is something only girls do. guys just admire from afar." he motions afar with his hands as they walk to the dining hall for lunch.
classes were over for the day and jungkook had no reason to stay back here other than to spend more time with taehyung, which he was doing subconsciously. he never did this, yoongi and namjoon always agreed to go home right after school ended since they knew the younger had no interest in staying. but now two out of the three of them had reasons to stay back.
this is kinda nice. at least it's better than going back to that empty house.
"-but we can worry about finding you a girlfriend later." taehyung interrupts his train of thought, stopping in front of the door to the dining hall. the raven haired boy opens the door for him and he's grinning for reasons that he doesn't know yet.
"didn't know that was a part of the plan." he mumbles.
does jungkook even want a girlfriend? sure the idea of it sounds nice. people act like young teen romance is mandatory before you graduate, but he doesn't like anyone at this school. so what was the point of dating someone if he doesn't even want them?
they stand in line at the noodles area in the cafeteria, excited to get black bean noodles and eat with their new conjoined friend group. "we can add it in if you want. it's not necessary." taehyung turns and out of the corner of his eye, he sees bogum.
tall, unattainable park bogum with his arm around a new girl and his lips trailing down her neck, in front of the whole damn school, while she giggles and tugs on his bomber jacket.
oh.
he was just shoving it in taehyung's face, trying to show that he's moved on and that he doesn't need him. it was pathetic, gross, lame, and every other negative adjective in the thesaurus that one can use to describe events that make them uncomfortable.
