lowkey a filler chapter but i tried to make it fluffy.
the air is crisp, leaves a bright orange and as jungkook walks out of his father's apartment building, he is very much aware that it is fall.
he loves fall. it's his favorite season and it means so many things that jungkook loves doing. he loves halloween, he loves giving candy to the cute little kids that knock on his door, he loves the colors and he loves the weather.
his feet hit the concrete and jungkook sees a flyer for the fall carnival that sonyeondan school sponsors on the ground and he smiles at the thought of going there to eat cotton candy with yoongi and namjoon.
maybe i'll ask taehyung to go with me too, take him on some rides.
jungkook passes the bus stop and his eyes follow down the path to taehyung's house, his grandmother's house. he wants to see him today. now it hasn't been that long since both boys have seen each other but he still wants to see the blue haired older, hear his voice and talk to him.
they texted all throughout the day, the older was rather bored at home, wishing that they could hang out today, and jungkook really had nothing better to do for the rest of the evening. it's not like he would really talk to anyone back home.
so those are precisely the reasons that jungkook uses to walk on over to taehyung's house and knock on the door.
he really needs to stop doing this, it's rude to constantly just barge on over to people's houses uninvited. but jungkook doesn't want to go home to his parent's house, seokjin isn't even there, and he'd rather spend hours with taehyung than deal with his father or listen to haewon bitch about things.
the door opens after jungkook knocks and it took a couple of seconds before a frazzled looking taehyung opens the door. "jungkook? what are you doing here?" he looks so adorably casual in those sweatpants and a comfy sweater, jungkook just wants to reach out to feel the softness of it.
"just wanted to see if you could hang out." he shrugs, a little embarrassed. maybe this wasn't the best idea, he really should've just texted taehyung like a normal human being. but i guess spontaneity is cool, right?
taehyung opens his mouth to speak but a little kid latches onto his leg to make him stumble forwards. his eyes widen and jungkook is racking his brain to try to remember if there were any kids the last time him and taehyung hung out at his place. unfortunately, all he can think about is the way that the older and him cuddled so not very useful.
"taetae! close the door, it's getting cold inside." she's a little girl with skin tan like taehyung's and her hair is in cute little pigtails. they don't look much alike but jungkook is more focused on why the hell she's here.
"yoonseo" taehyung whines. "i told you to stay in the living room when i open the door." he isn't mad, just annoyed and the little girl giggles before her eyes trail up to jungkook, standing there like the most uncomfortable person on the planet.
her head tilts to the side. "who's that?"
this is weird. he's never introduced any of his family members to his friends. to their knowledge, taehyung doesn't have any friends at school. it's like two worlds meeting for the first time.
jungkook doesn't like meeting new people, he gets scared and starts stuttering and can't even think straight around anyone new. this includes little kids, especially ones that he's never met before, so he freezes and even though it's cold outside, he's sweating in his layers.
taehyung notices. "that's jungkook." he gestures to the younger, who looks rather scary in his all black and heavy silver jewelry. he's nervous so he's incapable of moving any further, the older has to literally push him in.
