jungkook was determined to make taehyung feel better after what happened at school. so what better way to induce extreme happiness and endless giggles than at a carnival?
thankfully, taehyung was the type to enjoy fun rides and eat shitty, greasy carnival food so this was a rather easy development. he planned to take hyojin to their school's funded fall carnival but she gets motion sickness and cannot stand any of the food.
they were supposed to meet at the parking lot, they meaning pretty much the entire gang. namjoon and yoongi piled in his car, styled rather nicely and buzzing about meeting their boyfriends (yes, you heard correctly. boyfriends) at the cute carnival.
"if you make me go on that stupid fucking upside down ride, i'll beat your ass jungkook. i'm not even joking." the small older threatened, a pale finger held in the air like it was actually enough to scare jungkook.
he snorted. "sure. how's your 4'11 ass gonna reach me?" as if yoongi was going to even do anything. he's too lenient on jungkook, only lightly scolding him before praising and calling him his little prince baby bunny boy in a matter of minutes.
"i'll poison your food-"
yoongi's interrupted by a certain brunette, one with a heart shaped smile and hair swooped over his forehead, walking towards them with his two friends whispering to each other. he forgets whatever threat he sends jungkook's way, as hoseok walks over to him to hug him with glee. yoongi is nearly toppled over but it's cute, he's cute, so it's fine.
"hobi, you're gonna make me fall." yoongi struggles but he doesn't wiggle out of the hold, he enjoys the teasing little kisses that hoseok places down his neck that were extremely loud in the rather empty parking lot.
jimin and namjoon were a lot less publicly affectionate, the older wasn't really like that. he enjoyed the small things like gentle hand holds and discrete kisses on the cheek. and jimin was more than glad to do so, he loved little signs of affection.
"hi tae." jungkook smiles at the blue haired older. it was like the others were watching them, seeing what move they'd make. they weren't dating and jimin and hoseok did not know about them kissing, what do they do.
"hi." taehyung shyly waves. he, unlike jungkook, doesn't think twice before hugging him. arms snaking around those broad, built, shoulders, stomachs pressed together in a gentle yet tight hug. his head fell into the crook of his neck and taehyung really didn't want to let go once he felt those strong arms coil around his waist perfectly.
"jesus, keep it to yourself you two." yoongi jokes, hoseok slapping his shoulder playfully. after a glare from the youngest, they walk on over to the carnival.
it's rather impressive to look at. one side has the pretty pumpkin patch and the "scary" halloween maze. the other side has all of the real rides like the bumper cars, swing ride, carousel and of course, the ferris wheel taking the attention all the way at the back. the one that goes upside down (the one that yoongi and hoseok would rather die than go on) was equally as enticing to jungkook, who was a sucker for these kinds of things. in the center there were all the booths for games and food and other people to just sell their shit.
his hand brushes along taehyung as they walk to the entrance line, wristbands ready. "which ride d'you guys want to go on first?"namjoon asks the group even though they'd probably separate at some point to be with their partner for the night.
this whole day was dedicated to taehyung for jungkook so he was committed to doing literally anything. even if he was only willing to sit in the pumpkin patch and watch little kids trip over the stupid orange fruit, jungkook would try to contain his disappointment.
