Iris's POV
"Baby!" Lindsey yelled as she walked through the door.
"Yes sweetheart," I said running and wrapping her in a hug lifting her in my arms and spinning her and she giggled.
"Kell's wants you to heal quicker so you can go back to Utah," Lindsey said.
"Aww I miss that squirrel and all the girls," I said.
"Well we're going out to lunch with them so get ready and Em will be joining us," She said.
"Great! Give me 5 minutes," I said kissing her quickly before running off to get changed.
When we got to the place I saw Kelley, Emily, Tobin, Becky, Nicole Barnhart, Amy Rodriguez, Christen Press, Mandy Laddish, and Becca Moros.
"Iris!" Kelley yelled running over and hugging me tightly as Emily joined.
"Alright guys don't hurt my bestfriend," Lindsey said and it hurt hearing it but I knew that she wasn't ready to tell everyone even though we have been together for 4 years but I ignored it hugging the two back before moving onto the others.
"So how's the healing process going?" Becky asked after we ordered our food.
"Good, they said that it should be good to play on by next week so I won't be able to play in the game against the Reign but I'll be flying back to Utah the day of your game to get settled and check in with the staff there and get used to the people there because that's where I'll be going if I ever get hurt again," I said.
"Yeah hopefully that doesn't happen," Kelley said.
"So how has it been staying in Portland with your parents and family?" Christen asked.
"Oh just great, my mom always on my back about doing my own laundry, my dad always telling me to heal quicker so we can play a quick game before I have to go back to Utah, and my siblings always bugging me," I said.
"Has your mysterious girlfriend gone to see you yet?" Kelley asked and I blushed.
"Yeah she's come when she can, she's pretty busy though so I cherish the time I get with her," I said.
After just talking about stuff Becca looked at the time.
"Well... I hate to cut this short but we have to get going for the game," She said.
"That's alright, I'll see you guys when I see you next," I said hugging them all.
"Your not coming to the game?" Emily asked and they all looked at me.
"I can't... I have to meet with the doctor to get my stuff sent over to Utah and get in a little more workout in while I'm there," I said.
"Alright just don't push yourself Iris, we need you healthy and able to play," Kelley said hugging me again.
"Don't worry, I won't," I said going seperate ways.
When I had gotten home I put the game on and began looking for the ring that I had gotten Lindsey because I planned on proposing to her tonight but I looked in all the places that I could have put it but I couldn't find it so I started throwing things all over the place searching everywhere.
By the time I had looked everywhere everything was a mess and I still hadn't found it and I looked to see that the game was over so I called Kelley.
I- Kelley!
K- Woah Iris, what is going on? Why are you yelling?
I- Ok I'll explain when you and Emily get here just have Tobin and Christen and Becky distract Lindsey
K- Ok and how are they going to do that?
I- I don't know have Tobin distract her with her and Alex's daughters baby pictures and have Chris show her the pictures of her and Julie's son and Becky can show her pictures of her and Alyssa's cats
K- Alright Em and I will be on our way soon
When I heard a knock on the door I jumped up running over and opening the door and seeing that it was Emily and Kelley.
"Alright I did what you asked, I don't know how long we have but now what are we doing here?" Kelley asked.
"I lost the ring?!" I said.
"What ring?" Emily asked.
"What ring.... what ring she asks... EMILY SONNETT I LOST THE RING I WAS GOING TO PROPOSE TO MY GIRLFRIEND WITH!" I said yelling.
"Alright calm down Iris, why would it be here?" Kelley asked.
"Linds and I have been hanging out and I thought I might have lost it here but I've looked everywhere!" I said letting them in and they looked around shocked.
"Alright Lindsey will flip when she sees what you've done to her place," Emily said.
"Yeah... I know which is why we're all going to clean up but also be on the lookout for my ring," I said.
"And why should we help you?" Kelley asked.
"Because if you don't I'll tell Linds that we were the ones who put peanut butter in all her shoes and the ones who put goo on her door that fell on her," I said.
"Well what are we standing around for let's do this thing," Emily said as we all started cleaning up.
