Charlotte's POV
This is going to be what happens after Charlotte left her family and friend behind in the United States for Germany for 3 years... A second part to Polar Opposites

It had been a long time since I had been in the states and I was on a plane back after 3 years and I hadn't heard from my sister Julie since I left or any of the girls but Jill wanted me to watch a game so that's what I was doing when I got home.
When I got back I only had time to unpack at my hotel before it was time to head over for the game so I got in my rental vehicle driving to the game.
At halftime Jill found me and dragged me down a long corridor.
"Jill... where are we going?" I asked stopping her from dragging me.
"To see the team," She said.
"No! I don't want them not focused and I'm sure they don't want to see me," I said.
"Oh come on big timer, don't tell me the fames gone to your head and you've forgotten about us all," She said.
"What?! No of course I haven't... I just don't want to push it I mean I'm back in the states for a while at least so I'm sure I'll see them around," I said before she dragged me again and I sighed letting it happen.
"Girls! There's someone who has come to see you," Jill said as she dragged me into the room and all eyes turned to me.
"Hey guys," I said but they all glared some even not even looking at me.
"I told you there was no point in doing this," I whispered to Jill beside me.
"Give them some time Char, they'll forgive you," Jill said.
"What is she doing here?" Julie asked.
"I'll... just go," I said leaving the room and trying to get back to my seats.
"Charlotte!" I heard and stopped before turning around to see Kelley.
"Hey... it's been a while," I said.
"What are you really doing here?" She asked.
"Umm... well I've been signed to the Chicago Red Stars so I'm back in the states now," I said.
"Oh so you come back after 3 years of no contact... where exactly have you been?" Kelley asked.
"Germany for the most part... but it's weird to be back... I mean a lot has changed... I actually had fans over there but I think I've had enough of that life and I'm ready to be back in the states," I said.
"Well that doesn't explain why your here," Kelley said.
"Jill called me and invited me to this game after hearing about my return to the states," I said.
"Oh so you just thought you could come see us and everything would be fine," Kelley said.
"No... Jill brought me down... I was going to wait," I said.
"Wait for how long Charlotte?! It's been 3 years since I've even heard from you," Julie said.
"I know... it was just a lot Jules and I needed a break," I said.
"A break from what? Your family?!" Julie said.
"I... I'm not doing this with you here Jules," I said.
"Doing what! Having a conversation with your sister after 3 years of no contact," Julie said.
"Can we just drop it Jules," I said.
"No we can't! Do you know how many times our sister asked Mom and Dad and I why you never came home for holidays and didn't call or text or even answer any of us," She said.
"I couldn't Jules! You don't think I wanted to call and text you every second of every day because being in a new place by yourself is very terrifying," I said.
"Then why didn't you!" She said back still angry. (The next part is the scene I told you about so don't read if it's too much.)
"Because if I had I would have came back immediately and I couldn't do that Jules! Do you even know how close I was to ending my life three years ago! Do you know that while I was locked in that bathroom that night I thought about using the glass to cut my wrists... I just couldn't fight anymore Jules I almost gave into the urge and I probably wouldn't have been found in time and I wouldn't be here today if I had given in to that urge and if I came back nothing would have changed I still would be getting awful messages and I may have even eventually actually have ended up killing myself," I said.
"You didn't say anything to me," Julie said.
"Because I couldn't Jules, your my older sister but I didn't want you worrying about me so I hid it from everyone and it really took a toll on my mental health so that's why I left and I also saw a professional and she helped me a lot," I said.
"Did you make any friends over there?" She asked.
"Yeah a few... but there was one person who kept me sane more than the others," I said.
"Oh? Did you meet a girl?" She asked.
"Well... not quite...," I mumbled and she looked at me with a weird look.
"What does that mean?" She asked.
"Mommy!" I heard before turning and catching my adopted almost 3 year old son Owen.
"Hey buddy, where's Auntie?" I asked looking at the little boy.
"Not far," Melanie said coming around the corner.
"Wait... you have a son?" Julie asked still confused.
"Yeah... I adopted him after a year of living in Germany and he was only 8 months old and he's given me responsibility for taking care of him and it turns out to be something I needed because it's helped a lot and I love this little man," I said.
"I wub you too Mommy," He mumbled kissing my cheek.
"Buddy I'd like for you to meet your Auntie Julie, Jules this is your nephew Owen," I said.
"Hi Antie Ulie," He said waving.
"Hi little man, it's so nice to meet you," Julie said.
"Well... there's a lot you missed here too sis like how Jules is dating someone now," Melanie said and Julie blushed as I looked at her.
"Oh really now? And would I happen to know this person?" I asked as Owen layed his head on my shoulder.
"Why don't we go have this little man meet the others," She said dragging me back towards the room where everyone else was and Melanie followed taking Owen from me as she waited to come in with him and I was faced with a bunch of unhappy faces.
"Well... this is a great welcome back home," I said looking at Julie.
"Well you can't expect us to be all welcoming when you left without a goodbye or nothing," Christen said.
"Yeah I'm surprised your even showing your face here," Emily said.
"Yeah your lucky I don't beat you up right here," Carli said but Allie Long grabbed her arm keeping her close.
"Well... I guess that's my cue," Melanie said walking in with Owen.
"Mommy 'm sweepy," He mumbled reaching for me and I took him.
"I know baby boy, it's late but Mommy promises we're going home soon," I said as he snuggled into me hiding his face in my neck.
"'K Mommy," He mumbled.
"You have a son?!" Mal said.
"I do," I said swaying to help Owen fall asleep quicker.
"Since when?" Lindsey asked.
"Well he's 2 years and 9 months old," I said.
"Wait... so we're you-," Rose started but I cut her off.
"Oh no, no no no. I adopted him after living there for a year and he was only 8 months when I adopted him and it's just been this little man and me since I've been in Germany," I said.
"I should let you get back to the game though and I have to get this little man to bed," I said.
"Are you sure Char?" Julie asked.
"Unfortunately or this little man will get cranky," I said kissing the top of Owen's head.
"Well it's great having you back Charlotte," Jill said walking in.
"Thanks Jill, it's great being back," I said turning and leaving the room heading towards where my car was parked.
"Char! Wait!" I heard so I turned around to see Kelley coming towards me.
"Yeah Kell's," I said before her lips were pressed against mine and I was shocked at first before kissing her back and just as quick as it had started she pulled away pressing her forehead against mine and I slowly opened my eyes seeing her looking at me.
"I really missed you," She said.
"I really missed you too," I said smiling at her.
"I really really like you Char... I think I'm falling for you hard," She said.
"I've already fallen hard for you Kelley Maureen O'Hara," I said and she smiled leaning in and kissing me even harder before I pulled away this time.
"You have to go back out to play," I said holding her hand with my free hand.
"I know... can I see you after?" She asked.
"Yeah I'm staying at the Santa Clara Marriott in room 1013, here's a key card just in case I'm asleep but if I am you can join me I've only got one bed so you'll have to share with me and Owen," I said.
"That's alright I don't mind," She said giving me a quick kiss.
"I'll see you later Char," She said running back towards the locker room with my key card tucked in her shorts and I smiled before turning around and walking back towards my car.
