Kaitlyn's POV
January 14th, 2020
Today is my birthday but not many people know about my birthday not even Rose but it is also our 5 month mark since we got together and she wanted me to her family and I was nervous because I had never met a girlfriends parents and siblings before and I didn't know what she had told them about me and I was currently sitting on our couch fidgeting.
"Baby calm down, there's no need to be nervous they're going to love you I know I do," She said sitting across my lap and I held her close and she hugged me.
"I really hope that your right babe," I said kissing her.
"I'm always right," She said as we broke apart.
"Don't push it babe," I said pulling her into another kiss before there was knocking on the door.
"That's probably them," She said jumping up and I smacked her butt gently.
"Go get them then babe," I said and she looked back at me before going to let them in as I stood up following slowly behind and she was waiting for me before she grabbed my hand and then opening the door.
"Mom! Dad!" Rose said letting go of my hand to hug her parents as I looked at the five people waiting for Rose to introduce me.
"You must be Kaitlyn," Her Mom said after Rose moved on to her siblings and I was faced with her parents.
"I am, it is very nice to finally meet you Mrs. And Mr. Lavelle," I said going to shake her mom's hand but she pulled me into a hug.
"Please call me Janet," Her Mom said before letting go and Mr. Lavelle shook my hand.
"And please call me Marty," He said.
"Well it is so nice to finally meet you both," I said.
"Why do you have a weird accent?" One of her sisters asked.
"Nora!" Rose said.
"I was wondering that too actually," Her brother said.
"Johnathan," Janet said.
"Actually I was wondering too," Marty said.
"Me too," Her other sister said.
"Really all of you," Rose said looking at all of them.
"It's alright Rose, I was born in Auvers-sur-Oise, France and I was there until I was 6 and moved to Paris and that's where I've lived since," I said.
"Oh my God! Your from Paris!" Nora said.
"I am," I said.
"How did our sister manage to talk you into coming here after living in Paris?!" Her other sister asked.
"Yeah that's a good question Mary," John said.
"Really John and Mary," Rose said.
"Well Paris is great but after my injury in soccer I thought it would be nice to change up things so I signed with the Spirit," I said.
"Well we would love to visit Paris sometime and you could show us around," Mary said.
"I would love that," I said.
After an hour of chatting and talking I stood up.
"Why don't you guys continue chatting while I go make dinner for us all," I said.
"Oh you don't have to do that," Janet said.
"Oh no it's fine I was just going to make my favorite French meals which are Potatoes Dauphinoise and Coq Au Vin," I said.
"Oh she has made that before you guys have to try it she makes it amazing," Rose said and I blushed.
"Well I was always in the kitchen and my Mom taught me a lot so I hope you really like it," I said.
"I'm sure we will Kaitlyn," Marty said and I went into the kitchen.
As I was finishing up there was a knock on the door.
"I'll get it baby," Rose said running to the door and I heard her open it.
"Oh hey! Uh baby it's for you," Rose said.
"Coming," I said keeping the food warming up in the oven as I went to see who was at the front door.
As I got into sight I saw a cake and balloons and a couple of presents and I sighed knowing who was there.
"Joyeux anniversaire Kaitlyn!" Abby, Rachel, Anabel, and Isabella said smiling.
"Baby, what is this?" Rose asked looking at me.
"You didn't tell her?" Anabel said.
"I told you guys I didn't want to make today a big deal," I said.
"Comment ne pas faire un grose probleme? C'est ton anniversaire," Abby said.
"Ce n'est pas si grave maman, ça arrive chaque année et tu sais que je ne le célèbre pas," I said.
"Kaitlyn tu nous connais et nous ne laisserons pas cela arriver alors nous sommes ici pour te celebrer," Rachel said.
"Je ne peux pas pour le moment... Les parents de Rose sont ici et je viens de preparer le diner pour nous tous alors pouvons- nous faire ca demain," I said.
"English please," Rose said.
"Kaitlyn can we please come in to celebrate your birthday," Abby said.
"It's your birthday?" Rose said.
"Ughh yes today happens to be the day I was born on can we move on now?" I asked.
"Baby why didn't you tell me?" Rose asked taking my hand into hers.
"It really isn't a big deal," I said.
"So how does it feel being 30 Kate?" Anabel said.
"Yeah your getting old sis," Isabella said.
"Does that mean we'll stop celebrating this nonsense?" I asked.
"Aww the old lady is getting grouchy," Rose said wrapping her arms around my waist and laying her head on my shoulder.
"Oh so your all picking on me now," I said.
"Rosie are you and Kate coming back to join us so we can eat? I'm getting hungry," Mary said.
"Care to join us? Kate made her favorite meal and my family is over but I'm sure they'd love to meet you all," Rose said.
"Oh! Can we please?" Anabel asked.
"Yeah! Please can we Mom?" Isabella asked.
"Can we Katie Cat?" Abby asked.
"Yeah please Kate," Rachel said.
"Alright fine, come on in," I said moving and letting them in as Rose stayed attached to me and kissed my cheek.
"Your the best baby, happy birthday and we'll celebrate late after they all are gone," She whispered in my ear after running back towards our living room.
"I like this one," Abby said.
"I like her too," Rachel said.
"I love her, she's amazing," I said still looking in the direction she ran off in.
"Alright lover girl, why don't you introduce us to your lovers family before dinner," Anabel said.
"Yeah lover girl," Isabella said.
"Alright just don't embarrass me, we just met today," I said leading them towards where all the others were.
"Oh Kaitlyn, who are these people?" Janet asked standing up as they all looked at me.
"Well... Janet, Marty, John, Nora, and Mary I would like you to meet my Mom and her wife Rachel, and my friends or more like sisters Anabel and Isabella," I said and they all shook hands.
"So you don't call Rachel your Mom?" Nora asked.
"Well... technically neither Abby nor I are her real parents," Rachel said and they all looked at me.
"Ok... I was an orphan since birth but since I was transferred to Paris at 6 to Abby's foster home and was there until I turned 18," I said.
"Have you ever met your birth parents?" Nora asked.
"No... I only knew when they had passed away when I was 16 so I never got the chance to meet them but they were big business people who were also involved in gang stuff and I was the one who had to hold the funeral because all the other children were only kids so I did," I said.
"I'm so sorry," Mary said.
"It's alright, Abby has pretty much been my mom since I was 6 years old even though I was never adopted but she gave me so much love and when Rachel came into the picture I had met these two already and we were all teenagers so we acted mean but Rachel never left so she became like another mom to us," I said and Rachel pulled me into her side kissing my forehead.
"Je t'aime cherie," She said.
"Je t'aime aussi," I said.
"Alright you two, don't be rude and speak English," Abby said.
"Wow Mom, you picked up English pretty fast since you didn't know very much 7 months ago," I said.
"Yeah Mom, you are a quick learner," Anabel said.
"Are we really that surprised, I mean she did raise the three of us along with the others," Isabella said.
"That is correct, this woman is a superwoman," Rachel said kissing Abby and Isabella, Anabel, and I groaned.
"Really girls, you still do this?" Abby said.
"Yeah you girls are all dating and you still make noises when we kiss," Rachel said.
"Yes because that's our Mom that your kissing in front of us like that," I said.
"Yeah and I do not like that one bit," Isabella said.
"Me neither," Anabel said.
"Auntie Katie!" I heard before I was being taken down and covered by kids.
"Well hello Sarah, Hendrix, Colby, Kayden, and Jaxon I love the enthusiasm but can we stand up and hug?" I asked but they didn't let go.
"I'm really glad your here Auntie," Kayden said.
"Me too Auntie," Colby said.
"I missed you all too," I said as they got off of me so I could get up.
"Auntie guess what," Jaxon said lifting his arms up so I picked him up.
"What's up little buddy?" I asked and he leaned in to whisper in my ear.
"Mommy is pregnant and she's having a girl," Jaxon said.
"Congrats buddy, you and you brothers better be the perfect gentlemen for your baby sister and you better protect her from those boys that'll go after her," I said so only he could hear.
"We will Auntie," He said.
"So you made dinner?" Anabel said.
"Yeah, let me go get the food," I said putting Jaxon down as I went into the kitchen and Rose followed and as I was pulling the food out and turning the oven off and I felt arms wrap around my waist and I knew it was Rose and she put her face into my back.
"Well hello, did you need something?" I asked.
"I came to ask if you needed any help getting the food set up so we all could eat," She said.
"Well I guess, as long as you ask me the real question you came out here to ask me," I said.
"How do you know that I came to ask you something else?" She asked pulling her face out of my back so I turned around and she moved her arms to around my neck and I wrapped mine around her waist.
"I know you babe, so just ask," I said.
"Why didn't you tell me it was your birthday? I could have planned all this for another day so I could spoil you," She said.
"My birthday isn't that big of a deal babe and you are everything that I want," I said leaning down and kissing her.
"Alright but once they are gone we are celebrating the rest of your birthday in our bed," She said pulling me into a long passionate kiss.
"Mmmm sounds like a date, can't wait babe," I said moving my hands down to cup her butt squeezing and she quickly hid her face in my neck trying to hide her moan.
"Is it alright to come in yet or do you guys need another minute?" Anabel yelled in and I groaned as we broke apart.
"Give us a minute," I said before leaning in close to her ear.
"Could you please get the plates out babe," I whispered biting her earlobe as I walked by bringing the food to the dining room and put the food in the middle as Rose brought the plates out.
"You play dirty," She said as she walked by me setting the plates out.
"It's the only way I know how to play," I said walking to the kitchen to get the silverware.
"I'll get you back for that," She said as I walked back in.
"Alright everyone dinner is ready," Rose said and they all came rushing in and sat down leaving two seats next to each other for Rose and I.
