The next morning, Zuko woke up with Sokka in his arms. He pressed a kiss to Sokka's bare shoulder before he sat up, yawning and stretching. He knew his uncle had already left for the tea shop, so he grabbed some clothes and walked across the hall to the bathroom in nothing but boxers. Yes, him and Sokka both slept in nothing but boxers. They were comfortable around each other. And, Sokka liked the heat Zuko's body gave off. Sokka was naturally cold.

Zuko took a shower and got dressed in his usual black shirt and red flannel outfit before he walked back into his bedroom to see Sokka still sleeping. He chuckled softly to himself before he kissed all over Sokka's face and climbed on top of the other boy. Sokka woke up and smiled. "Zuko, I already told you, that tickles!" He spoke and Zuko chuckled.

"Good morning, handsome." Zuko spoke smoothly and winked. Sokka rolled his eyes and sat up, wrapping his arms around Zuko and taking in his scent. "You smell so good," he spoke. Zuko blushed lightly. "Thank you, I just got out of the shower." Zuko spoke with a soft chuckle as he wrapped his arms around Sokka's waist and pulled the slightly smaller boy into his lap.

"We have a little bit of time before we meet my mom... How about I make you some breakfast?" He spoke, and Sokka nodded. "I'd love that. I'm starving." He spoke, causing Zuko to chuckle again. He nodded. "Let's go," He spoke and let Sokka get up to get dressed first. He wore his usual joggers and hoodie combo. He walked out of his room and to his kitchen. Sokka sat at the table as Zuko starting making his food.

"I wonder what my mom's life is like now," he spoke as he began frying bacon. "I wonder if she remarried." He spoke. Sokka shrugged. "She very well might've. Maybe she's married to you're real dad," Sokka spoke, and Zuko's eyes widened. He has somehow forgotten that part, that Ursa told Ozai that Zuko wasn't his kid. "Maybe.." Zuko spoke.

Soon enough he sat at the table, and handed Sokka his plate of food. Zuko chuckled as he watched Sokka's eyes light up as he saw the plate of sausage, bacon, and a waffle. They both ate in a comfortable silence. Zuko had a lot on his mind about the meeting he was going to have with his mother. How will she react when she sees my scar? Could I really keep her away from Azula? He thought to himself.

"Hey, are you okay?" Sokka soon spoke. He was concerned when Zuko dozed off. "Oh, yeah, I just have a lot on my mind." Zuko spoke and Sokka nodded. "I understand, I'm here for you," Sokka spoke as he reached across the table to hold Zuko's hand. Zuko's cheeks flushed as he squeezed Sokka's hand.

"I'm just, worried about how she'll react to my scar. And, my dad told me to keep her away from my sister. What if I can't?" He spoke. Sokka listened closely. "I'm sure she'll listen to you, especially for your sister's well being." He spoke, and Zuko nodded. "You're probably right." He spoke, and leaned over to kiss Sokka's cheek. "Ready to go?" He spoke.

Sokka nodded and stood up. Zuko took their plates and set them in the sink. "Let's go," he spoke and took Sokka's hand in his before walking out the door and to his car.

Once they got to the tea shop, Zuko took a deep breath. "I'm so nervous," he spoke, and Sokka rubbed his back. "You can do this," he spoke and kissed Zuko's cheek. Zuko smiled. "Thank you," he spoke before walking towards the entrance. He hesitated before opening the door.

He saw his mother sitting at a table for four people. He told her he was bringing Sokka. Zuko's eyes began to water as Ursa stood up. Zuko went over and hugged his mother tightly. "I can't believe your father let me see you," she spoke. "About that," Zuko spoke as they both pulled away. "Oh, Zuko... What happened?" She spoke, her hand caressing his face and her thumb tracing over his scar. "Um, it's a long story. I'll get to it, I promise." He spoke with a smile. "This is my boyfriend, Sokka," he spoke, the tan boy stepping forward.
