Mari's p.o.v.

I've been going to Hamilton Hill high school for about three months and I've meet Max, Blade, along with a few other students. Not that long ago a new fad has came out called Splicing. The guy say's it's inspired by Paris's hero's but we aren't spliced at all it's magic that gives us the illusion of being the animals we portray. Nothing else. But today when school started Chelsea walked into the school wearing sunglasses. My stomach sank like a stone.

"Check it!" Chelsea said removing her sunglasses to reveal she now had a pair of cat eyes similar to what Chat used to have.

I slowly backed away from her having to many bad memories with Chat's alter ego harassing me. "Chels you got spliced!" Dana said shocked

"Girl your dad must've had a spiz fit" Max said

"I wouldn't blame him since Chat Noir who I'm guessing your trying to emulate with your eyes in his last days of being a so called hero, he molested and harassed Mari" Terry said noticing my discomfort.

I mouthed him a thank you. He nodded his head, "Besides why would you do that it's dangerous" Terry added

"Agreed" I said, "Especially since the government is trying to shut it down"

"Mari, Terry the government is against everything that we are into you both got to keep an open mind" Dana said

I could only sigh. This whole thing made me extremely uncomfortable.  School passed without any further incident. I gathered my sketch book up placing it in my bag before leaving. "So Mari you still planning on joining us for a club night soon" Dana asked

"I don't know" I nervously said

"Come on it will just be us girls and who knows we all might just find someone we like" Dana said

"Wait aren't you and Terry dating?" I asked confused

"Oh on we cut it off it just wasn't working out between the two of us"Dana said honestly, "But it was a peaceful break up after we both let off some steam"

"Gotcha" I said, "Well in regards to the club night I'll have to check my calander since I've got several commissions that are nearing the to be done by date"

"If you need any help just let me know. And I'll work in exchange for those pastries you make" Dana smiled

I let out a laugh at this. "I'll think about it can you sew?" I asked

"To a degree but I do know how to follow a pattern" Dana said

"I'll take it into consideration" I told her.

Dana beamed as we walked to my home. "So ever consider going out with Terry?" Dana asked me.

"Dana right now I want to focus on school a boy who I had a crush on for years nearly ruined my life. I'm not mentally ready to try again just yet" I told her

Dana had a small frown on her face. "Well if you ever need any help you have my cell number " Dana said

I gave her a smile. "Well I got grocery shopping to do" I told her.

"Well in that case I better help you out" Dana smiled

I gave her a grin of my own. "Besides this is Gotham city after all.  Besides the Jokerz are acting worse than they usual recently " Dana added

Now I've never had a run in with the Jokerz which I'm grateful for. But what I've heard from everyone at school they're dangerous.

"Alright then" I said relenting
