Recap*

Coach Ukai said he'll help us in anyway we need as long as we don't get too distracted from practice. We all agreed and left for class.
Recap over*

Hinata's pov*

In class I couldn't focus. I was both scared and excited about everything. After what I did this morning how will he react when I stop coming home? Would he call the police? What would it be like staying with Kageyama? Could he possibly like me back? All these thoughts going through my head I didn't notice the teacher calling my name. "Hinata!" The teacher yelled to get my attention. "Huh?" I asked confused. The entire class laughed as I stupidly shouted out a random answer to the question on the board. I didn't really care, not right now at least. For once I was actually looking forward for after school.

The bell rang for lunch and almost everyone left the classroom. I saw Kageyama out of the window so out of habit I went down to practice with him. "Hay Kageyama-kun!" I yelled to get his attention. Now that I think about it he hasn't really said anything to me after his outburst, but I'm not mad. "Hay dumbass." Kageyama in his usual tone. I guess he's not mad either. "Can you toss to me?" I asked, for once with a general smile on my face. Kageyama looked at me as if I said something stupid before hitting me in the back of the head. "Hay what was that for?!" I yelled confused. "How the hell is your body supposed to get better if all you do is strain it." Kageyama said angrily sipping a carton of milk. Kageyama handed me a milk carton he had in his pocket before going to sit down at a nearby bench and I followed. We sat there in silence for awhile before Kageyama spoke up. "Why didn't you tell us sooner? I don't understand why you acted like everything was okay for so long." Kageyama said looking down at me. "I didn't want to be a burden to the team. Volleyball is the reason I live and if I was a burden to the team I don't know how I'd live with myself." I sad looking down to avoid Kageyama's glare. "If you're in danger it's not a burden to anyone. After all, I think of you as more than a teammate." Kageyama said looking away with a slight blush across his face. I looked up at Kageyama and smiled before hugging him. Kageyama froze in shock but soon hugged back. "You're such a dumbass." He mumbled with a smile that wasn't scary. As the bell rang I let go of Kageyama and ran to class smiling a genuine smile. I realized that I could be happy outside of the court as well and I love it.

Third person pov*
After school practice*

Hinata went into the gym room for afternoon practice. He was the last one there because his last class got released late. When Hinata walked into the gym he was greeted by his teammate before he started walking towards the club room to change but coach Ukai grabbed his arm. "You probably shouldn't practice for today. Let your body rest and you can practice tomorrow. For today just observe. You might learn a thing or two." Coach Ukai said. Although Hinata didn't agree he knew his coach was right so he took a seat on the bench next to his coach and watched the others practice. Not being able to practice gave Hinata something to look forward to.

Hinata's pov*

Me and Kageyama were walking home from practice and eating pork buns when we reached the point where we go our separate ways. As a force of habit I waved to Kageyama and started to dread what was waiting for me at home. I remembered that I kicked my uncle and I started shaking just thinking about what he might do when I opened the door but I stopped shaking at the feeling of Kageyama grabbing my arm. "Where are you going dumbass? My house is this way." Kageyama said pointing in the direction of his house. "Oh sorry force of habit." I said with an awkward laugh. I started walking with Kageyama in complete silence but it was a nice silence. I simply enjoyed being in his presence. I couldn't stop myself from looking up at Kageyama. I understood the way I felt about him wasn't "normal" because he's a guy but there's something special about him that I just couldn't explain. Kageyama looked at me and I looked away in embarrassment. Kageyama simply laughed and told me we were here. He unlocked the door and I stepped inside and looked around, surprised by how big it is. Kageyama locked the door and took off his shoes and I did the same before he showed me to his room. Wow I'm going to be in Kageyama's room. I blushed at the thought. Kageyama opened the door to his room that was surprisingly clean and moved a few things off his bed. "You can sleep in my bed and I'll stay downstairs on the couch." Kageyama said grabbing extra sheets. "Why can't you just sleep with me?" I unconsciously asked. Kageyama's face turned bright red, as did mine after I was hit with the weight of my words. "A-are you s-sure?" Kageyama struggled to ask. "Well if I'm going to be staying with you for a few months it would be more comfortable for us both." I said really fast trying to avoid eye contact. Kageyama nodded before handing me a pair of his clothes to sleep in and stepped out the room so I could change. He handed me a pair of light grey sweats and a black sweater. They were both really big but I didn't mind. I cuffed the sleeves of the sweater and sweats so they would fit a little better before calling Kageyama back in. Kageyama walked back in and he also changed his clothes. He was wearing blue sweats and a blue sweater. Kageyama looked at me and started to blush like crazy. Kageyama set an alarm before climbing into bed and I climbed in next to him. I checked my phone and found several missed calls from my uncle and a text message that read
"You better get your as* home or you'll be sorry!"
Kageyama took my phone and deleted my uncles number. "You'll never have to deal with him again. I'll protect you." Kageyama whispered into my ear as he handed back my phone. I hugged kageyama not knowing what else to do. He hugged me back and we stayed like that for awhile before I pulled away. I looked up at Kageyama and without thinking I pressed my lips against his. When I expected him to pull away he kissed back. I was in shock but I loved it. I wanted this moment to last forever. When our lips parted for air Kageyama said the three words that I needed to hear the most. "I love you." Me and Kageyama stayed up cuddling until we fell asleep.
