6. The Rose

{ CHAPTER SIX } 

The office today was extra decorated, with strings hanging from the ceiling and red furthermore golden balloons bouncing from one station to another while all the employees kept propelling around. At the rim of the room, there was a complete table devoted to cupcakes, cake pop's, juice and brownies.

All the employees today had to either wear red, white or golden. Most of them chose the colour red and some golden very few chose white and one of them was me. Most of them had smiles on their face's excited to wish the birthday girl and some gave those fake uninterested smile's.

As the door opened we all shouted out loud with our voices reaching the canopy!

'' SUPRISE! ''

'' Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Marcia! Happy birthday to you! Woo hoo! ''

'' Oh my god! don't tell me! I'm forty-three! '' Marcia said as she stood astounded and startled looking at the white and golden stripes cake in front of her which had the number 43 covered in red fondant eyeing her.

The room was engulfed with chuckles and laughter as they all advanced towards Marcia to display their unique gifts for her. I observed as they all passed Marcia a hug and some destroyed some cupcake cream on her face, to which she responded and said.

'' Guy's I hate creampies on my face! ''

Other's who didn't know what that meant laughed it off but others who did choke on the brownies and some even died coughing, I waited once everyone was done wishing her.

I stepped forward towards her and presented her an envelope with a smile, she peered at me suspiciously before ripping open the envelope. I viewed as her eyes browsed through the paper which was in front of her and she gazed up at me with startled eyes.

'' Oh! Jade! You booked me an appointment at the spa! '' She said excitedly and continued

'' Do I smell that bad? Or look old to you! '' She told me nonchalantly and it was my turn to twitch my eyebrow's, what? I thought she just preferred it a minute ago!

'' I thought you liked it? '' I told her naturally.

'' Really? A spa? I'd rather have you book me two hot guys to go down on me. Rather than I watch some young chick massage my body '' she replied justly and proceeded.

'' But I'll take it! I could opt for a male massager, Might get a little extra spike out of it'' she stated and winked at me.

'' Go stuff your mouth with some cake! It is to die for! '' I chuckled and informed her.

'' Rather stuff my mouth with some dick '' She said and at the girl in front of her who came to wish her started shaking uncontrollably.

'' What? I'm forty-three, unmarried and I need some dick! '' She told her as I watched the girl scramble off. She is afraid of life.

'' Jade! Jade! Jade! there are flowers for you! '' Suzzy hollered as turned to watch her come towards me with a delivery boy at the back.

'' flowers? for me? '' I asked surprisingly as I walked towards her and saw a delivery boy holding the flowers in his hands.

'' Ms Abdallah? '' He questioned I nodded and he gave me the bouquet in my hands as he left the area quickly.

'' He is so dreamy '' Suzzy described and I watched her fangirl over the delivery boy who just left. I internally cringed at her, I mean she was no less either she too was unmarried and was in her forties.
