Avery's POV
"Joke lang!" Agad kong bawi kay Raven nang hindi siya nakapagsalita ng ilang minuto. I was just testing if what will be his reaction if ever he'll know about that.
"What the, Avery?!" Sabi niya sa galit na tono. Nakakunot pa ang noo niya at halos mamutla siya sa nalaman. "Who told you that that's a good joke?" He still can't get over about what I've said a while ago.
"Ako." I said sa seryosong tono. "Teka nga. What is it with you if I'm not a virgin anymore? Does it even make sense? Hindi ka naman rin virgin ah." I said at bahagyang yumuko upang hindi mahagip ng malalalim na titig niya ang aking mga mata.
He held my chin up.
"Yes, maybe I'm not. That was before you came. I just don't know why but the thought of you having sex with other guys? That I cannot take..." Mahinahon niya akong ibinaba sa lap niya at pinaupo sa may upuan at siya naman ay tumayo. He's annoyed.
Bakit ganito siya kung maka–react? The last time I checked, I was just nothing to him.
"Why are you reacting this way, Raven? Sabihin mo nga sa akin. What am I to you?" I said and looked at him in the eye. Napatingin rin siya sa akin and agad umiwas ng tingin.
"You're my wife." Sagot niya at naglakad papunta sa akin. "Avery, I'm still figuring things up. You know, this I am feeling towards you is strange. We're still too young for this marriage thing."
I just looked blankly at him. Bumuntong hininga siya nang hindi ko siya sinagot. Ano namang sasabihin ko?
Hinawakan niya ang gilid ng labi ko at hinaplos ito. "All is foreign to me and I know it is to you too." He sighed and he held my hand and intertwined it with his. "Lately, I just realized what really are you too me. You're someone I care for too much. I am pissed whenever other guys try to court you or just befriend you. And this virginity thing? I don't know, but I just want to be your first." He shook his head and went closer to me. Then he kissed my forehead lightly.
I closed my eyes at the touch of his lips, at the smell of him...
"I think I'm starting to love you more, Avery." He said that while looking directly to my eyes. His expression has full of sincerity and something pure that I can't explain.
I'm not joking when I said I'm not a virgin anymore. Sinabi ko lang 'yon para maging kalmado siya kahit konti.
