Luke took me to his house, which was beautiful, and looked kinda manly. Well more manly than most houses. Most houses have the feminine touch.
I got a shower and didn't have any clothes, so Luke gave me one of his hoodies and a pair of sweatpants. Of course I looked ridiculous. They were way too big on me, but they were soft and warm. That and considering the fact that I had no other clothes, so I could go out there in this or be naked, I was thankful that he gave me his clothes. And they smelled really really good.
Well a lot of people might not think it smells good, but I love it: dip and mint mixed together. Ahhh. It smells so good. I don't dip or anything, but it doesn't really bother me when other people do. And, take in the fact that I live in the middle of nowhere, in a small town, out in the country... a whole lot of people dip. The sad part is, everyone should be used to it by now but most people don't like it, I unless they dip themselves. I don't know why, but I've always loved the smell if it. Okay, enough about dip...
I walked into the room, and as soon as Luke saw me, his face lit up. I just couldn't help but smile back.
We talked for a few hours, and out of no where he said,
"Okay, I'll tell you that story now. I've been avoiding it enough. But promise me something?""Anything!" I said, surprised by the erupt change of subject.
"You won't look at me differently and you won't look at me with pity and please Don't think of me as a charity case." he said the last part as a whisper. Something about that made my heart leap into my stomach.
No matter how much I tried to avoid it and how much I didn't want it to happen:
This boy is getting to me. (In a good way of course)
