The footprints ended just before they reached the clearing.

Just then, we heard slow footsteps coming towards us.

I instinctively held the hilt of my Kamuy, entering a stance and ready to unsheathe my weapon.

Then, we saw a tall figure, standing on the boulder. It was a person, covered in shadow.

Kazuki: Who are you?!

I yelled out but to no answer.

Just then, several more wolves came out of the forest.

Where are they coming from?! A figure is right here, and it's not even making a motion, yet families are being spawned. Is he not the caster?

But like earlier, we easily cut through the wolves.

"I'm very sorry, the weak wolves must have brought you disrespect. I know, those pesky animals are nothing but ants to be crushed by you all."

The figure spoke, in a deep, menacing, male voice.

"This creature is our way of paying respects to you."

Just then, the ground began shaking. I tightly held onto the nearby wall.

Soon, the ground in front of us began cracking, and emerging from it was a terrifying, massive black serpent.

"Do not worry, young ones. I am not the reason for these families. I am simply here to witness."

The figure then crossed both of his legs and sat on the boulder.

Enju: Let's worry about that guy later! Let's take care of this monster first!

The monster roared loudly, shaking the surroundings violently.

That's one heck of a roar.

I unsheathed my Kamuy and prepared myself to kill the beast in front.

Ricka starts the fight by jumping forward with her icy chakrams in hand.

Ricka: Daiguren!

However, the skin of the monster is as hard as steel, the chakram only bounced off it.

Then, the serpent turned its gaze towards Ricka and opened its mouth, leaning in closer to her.

Enju: I won't let you!!

Before the serpent could eat Ricka mid-air, Enju launched a lightning energy towards the serpent.

It now turned its head towards Enju.

Now that it's distracted,

I immediately dashed towards it and unsheathed my blade. Then, in a single, sharp attack, I pierced its body. Its skin felt hard, however, I was able to pierce through it.

It lets out a loud roar that could almost destroy my ear drum..

What the heck is that roar?!

Just then, the roaring stopped as it was replaced by a wail of pain.

Yamabuki; Ya know, you should shut up!

I looked up above and saw Yamabuki, who managed to stab the serpent with her hundred-summoned sword.

It's a chance now!

I retracted my weapon and jumped back...

I looked over to Enju, signaling her to empower me with her lightning.

She nodded and got into position.

I also looked over to the others. That one gaze was all it takes for us to know what we should do.

Nanao: Then, I'll make some openings for you! Cy, please assist me!

Cy: Let's go!!

Cy ran towards the monster with Nanao behind her. Cy took the opportunity while the serpent cried in pain to land a strong punch on its body, destroying its hard skin.

Nanao: Drain!!!!

Then Nanao followed up by using her drain Jutsu on the monster, further weakening it.

The monsters roared loudly again.

However, Lily managed to teleport at the top of the monster's head.
