Kazuki POV

Six days have passed since the incident regarding the Asura. My old man filled me in about what happened and apparently, it was the doing of some Ninja-God.

I get bad vibes from that news. I feel like I can't spend my second year as a high school student in peace.

But those aside, my condition was getting better and better thanks to Nanao's continuous healing.

And now, I find myself at the Momochi clinic still, resting as the wound still quite hurts. There was something different from his attack that made the regenerative cells in my body delay.

I missed Mizaki City. I missed my dorm. I want to return badly!!

Just then, a knock echoed throughout the room.

"It's Enju. Can I come in?"

"Sure."

It's been a while since I had a company visit on me. They were all too busy investigating the recent incident.

Enju, in her casual clothes, opened the door, carrying a tray of food in her left hand.

Kazuki: Pretty strong for you to carry all that using just a single arm.

Enju: Well, is that so? I'm a ninja after all.

She replied with a giggle.

She entered inside and put the tray on the table, and then sat beside me in bed.

Enju: So, how are you feeling?

Kazuki: Never been better, thanks to Nanao's constant healing. I owe her one.

Enju: Well, you do. Buy something for her as a gift of appreciation. I remember her going quite crazy about a recent release of her favorite anime.

Kazuki: Is that so? Then, I'll buy her a DVD.

Enju: Sounds good. That aside, you should eat. The food may get cold.

Enju placed the tray on my lap. On that tray lies the heavenly, and jaw-dropping set of foods that seems out of this world.

Kazuki: This looks delicious!

Enju: R-Really? Then, you should dig in.

Kazuki: Well then!

I grabbed the chopsticks and began munching through the food.

Enju: How was it?

Kazuki: It's really *munch* good!

Enju: Well, you should not speak while you chew, but nevertheless, that's good to hear.

Like a hungry squirrel, I stuffed all of the food into my mouth. This taste is heavenly!

Kazuki: Thank you for the food!

Enju: I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Kazuki: Did you cook that, Enju?

Enju: H-Huh? Y-Yes...

Her cheeks turned red as she averted her gaze.

Kazuki: Thank you Enju.

Enju: You're always welcome.

Kazuki: Thank you.

I placed the tray back on the table.

Enju: Do you need a company for today? Or do you plan to rest?

It's been a while since I had company. The ninja-seeking club and the villages were investigating the recent incident. I would have preferred to have someone to talk to.

Kazuki: But, aren't you busy with your investigations?

Enju: Well, I finished my part quite quickly, and have enough time to spare.

Kazuki: Well, if you aren't busy, I guess I could use a company.

Enju: Alright then. Well for starters, let me give you an update on what has been happening recently.

Kazuki: Alright.

Enju: Well, unfortunately, we haven't found anything significant within our investigations. The traces of those ninjas were not yet found, it is as if they vanished into thin air.

Kazuki: Hmmm...

Enju: Moreover, we are yet to gather more pieces of information about Asura himself.

Kazuki: Asura...

I remember Asura's relentless and menacing aura, along with his unmatched speed. There's no way that guy was human.

Enju: Are you okay, Kazuki?

Kazuki: Yeah... Sorry for worrying you guys.

Enju: Don't worry. It was really a rather sudden turn of events. It was one way or another.

Kazuki: I should train more and get stronger.

Enju: And to start, you should get plenty of rest.

Kazuki: Yeah. Looks like trouble will be coming our way.

Enju: Looks like it. We all need to get stronger.

Just then, Enju's phone beeped multiple times.

Enju: Hold on.

She grabbed her phone from the table and checked.

Enju: Well, looks like they're looking for me. I'm sorry, but, I won't be able to accompany you any further.

Kazuki: It's okay. Do your best, Enju!

Enju: Oh, before I forget. Tomorrow, we'll be going back to Mizaki City.
