After running for some time, we stopped by and healed the chief and Mashiro. Fortunately, Nanao and Iroha's strong healing Jutsu was strong enough to heal them,  we also came across some Iboro villagers, scattered all over the mountain. We took them, stayed underneath a huge tree and used Iroha's healing jutsu as they were badly injured. We asked some of them and they all said the same thing.

After discussing on what probably happened, we came to the conclusion that the one who attacked the Iboro's are the 4 lower echelons. Given that Asin is present, that's the most reasonable answer.
