"GO JAMIE!" I cheered as they started walking their way through the line. They have only gotten a few steps away yet they already tripped which made me laugh. I just received a death glare from both Loki and Jamie thus made my mouth shut.

It wasn't long before they have finally reached the second station. That means it was now Alistair and Maggie's turn. Fortunately, they didn't have a hard time passing through the line since both of them perfectly coordinated with each other. I mean, what did you expect from the execom chairwoman and the QED 4's most obedient guy? They'd definitely ace it!

Next in line was Emeraude and Rye. Every step they make, the more I get nervous because after them would be us already. I was busy contemplating when Luthor suddenly spoke.

"Lorelei." He called, causing myself to look at his direction.

When he realized I was actually listening, he proceeded.

"If I start counting one, we'll both step our tied foot forward. If I counted two, we'll use the non-dominant one. I know you don't trust me but I am asking you to cooperate with me this time."

"You wouldn't want us to end up like Jamie and my brother, would you?" Luthor stated while staring at me intently.

I don't know if he was just teasing me or not because he looked so serious when he said those words. I couldn't help but look away and sigh in defeat.

"Fine, we'll have it your way." I muttered.

Meanwhile, Emeraude and Rye finally reached the line. I couldn't help but let out deep sighs, it's finally our turn. Luthor was already staring at me even before I darted my gaze at his side. He seems like he was just waiting for my signal so I finally gave him a nod.

Eventually, Luthor started counting so I moved a foot forward. I thought I was doing the right thing but since I was panicking, I actually moved the wrong foot causing me to trip but luckily I was able to hold onto his shoulders that's why I haven't completely fallen to the ground.

I was busy catching my breath that I haven't realized Luthor actually flinched the moment I touched him so I began apologizing.

"Sorry Luthor, I didn't mean to." I was about to remove my hand from his shoulder when I suddenly felt him wrapped his hands around my waist which made me gasp. My heart started beating drastically.

"Trust me, Lorelei." He whispered causing me to hold onto him much tighter.

It wasn't long before he went back counting. Every step forward, the more he held my waist thus making me feel all the giddy sensations in my stomach. Why does he have this effect on me? I couldn't breathe, this is too much!

"Focus." He muttered which made me blush.

I may have had a hard time at first but I eventually got accustomed to it that's why we have finally reached the line.

I don't know if it's due to the heat of the sun or anything but as I glanced at Luthor, I've seen a hint of red on his cheeks. It wasn't long before he finally released me from his arms.

Next stop is the bear crawl obstacle. Suprisingly, we were able to surpass this one faster than the first obstacle but I gotta admit, this one was way more exhausting compared to what we did earlier.

Same with the third and fourth obstacle. Now we're down to the last one, the sack race. This time we can now remove the stretchable band.

Luthor did it first for the both of us since I was pretty worned out already, I decided to take a short break, I watched him jump through the finish line. Honestly, I don't know if I could continue at this rate cause I can already feel various muscle pains at every part of my body.

All the crawling and jumping made me dizzy too. I was still gasping for air. This goes to show I really do have a weak stamina. I should exercise more often than just writing blogs and doing stuff indoors.

Luthor has finally reached the finish line. It was now my turn. Even if I was still struggling breathing, I didn't make it as an excuse not to continue.

I immediately put the sack on and started jumping my way through the finish line. I was already halfway through it when my head started to pound, causing me to stop from my track.

"Oh my God, Lori! Okay ka lang?"

I've heard Jamie uttered something yet I couldn't hear it clearly since I felt clouded. Even my vision became blurry. I was too close to passing out but I just shaked my head and continued jumping. I don't want to let them down.

There was a team who already surpassed all the obstacles yet it didn't stop me from giving up. I did the best as I could until I can now see my teammates a few steps away.

They were all cheering for me which made me felt more motivated. I took a few more steps until I finally reached the finish line but just right after I did, I immediately lost my balance causing myself to fall but since Luthor stood right in front of the finish line, he ended up falling too.

I was literally on top of him while he was under me. My head was placed on his chest, I could actually hear his heartbeat pounding drastically. We're in a really awkward position right now. I wanted to move away but I didn't have the strength anymore so I just went with the flow. I was barely conscious but it was pretty clear to me when he suddenly wrapped me in his arms.

"You did it." I heard him say. That was the last thing I've heard before everything went dark.
