I SLOWLY opened my eyes to see Jamie's face gazing right through me which caught me off guard. I couldn't help but place my right hand near my chest. I almost had a heart attack!

"Guys she's already awake!" Jamie exclaimed before hugging me.

I was too entertained by her that I haven't noticed Loki and Alistair's presence. Little did I know, somebody was actually holding one of my hands the entire time. It was Loki. Judging by his position, I think he fell asleep while waiting for me to wake up. I can't help but hold his hand tighter, making him feel that I actually appreciate him comforting me. It wasn't long before he woke up so I immediately shifted my gaze away from him.

Jamie on the other hand still kept on hugging me. She's been doing it for quite some time now, she even gave me countless kisses on the cheeks. This is too much, I can't breathe!

"Jamie, I get it. I love you too but could you give me just a little bit of space for awhile please? I could barely breathe." I muttered honestly.

When she noticed my situation, she immediately distanced herself from me before speaking.

"Sorry Lori I was too carried away. I just missed you so much!" She gave me another tight hug before finally letting me go.

"Likewise but by the way, what really happened? Why did I end up here?" I innocently asked, honestly I am still clueless as to why I ended up lying on a clinical bed. My head still hurts, I could vaguely remember anything.

"Actually about that, you suddenly fell unconscious right after you reached the finish line. Good thing Luthor was there to catch you before things got worse." Alistair butted in the conversation.

"Ang epal mo naman Al! Hanggang dito lang yung linya oh! Plus ako yung kausap ni Lorelei hindi ikaw hmph!"

I've heard Jamie exclaimed while pointing out imaginary lines. I don't even know what they're talking about at this point anymore, my mind was focused elsewhere. Where was he anyways? I wanted to thank him personally.

Despite Jamie and Alistair's banters, Loki stayed calm beside me. He was still holding my hand secretly, I can't help but get flustered. Isn't he aware that Jamie's here as well? Who knows what she would do if she finds out that her Loki dear was holding somebody else's hand.

I tried to pull my hand away but he just held it tighter, seems like he has no plans on letting me escape from his grasps. I just let him be.

"Speaking of Luthor, where is he? I just wanted to thank him personally for helping me earlier." The hand which I was trying to escape from awhile ago just suddenly went loose. Loki let my hands go as he heard what I said.

Did I say something wrong? Why did his mood change abruptly.

"I think we saw him heading down to the execom office right after he left the clinic." Alistair replied.

"Lori if you want to speak with Luthor, you should do it later nalang this evening. Diba may games pa tayo mamaya? For sure we'll meet him again tonight."

"For now kumain muna tayo sa cafeteria. Two o' clock na oh pero di pa tayo nakakapaglunch! Gutom na ko." Jamie grunted.

"Okay fine." I agreed.
