JUST RIGHT after Lorelei reached the finish line, she has lost her balance and ended up landing on Luthor who stood right in front of her. Everyone knew it was just an accident but there was somebody out there who couldn't accept what just happened.
The moment he saw how happy Lorelei was when she saw Luthor at the finish line, Loki felt a slight pain on his chest. The way his brother wrapped his arms around her made his blood boil. He couldn't fathom what he just saw.
Loki knew his brother more than anyone. He knew that Luthor wouldn't just randomly embrace somebody, never in his life would he do that, not even with their mother, that's how prideful Luthor is, that is why when Loki witnessed his brother hugging Lorelei, he immediately knew something was up.
Loki was about to leave the oval when he heard Jamie exclaimed. She said Lorelei had fell unconscious which caught Loki's attention, his heart began feeling kinda heavy.
He staggered to a halt, not knowing whether to go on or not but it seems like he just couldn't resist her so it didn't take long enough for Loki to change his mind. He quickly went back to check up on Lorelei but it was already too late, Loki sees his brother carrying her in his arms.
He unknowingly clenched his fists, he was done hiding in the dark, he has finally decided to fight back for her. He wouldn't let somebody steal what's originally his.
Loki did not waste his time and started walking his way through where Luthor was. He chased his brother who was now inside the clinic. Jamie called Loki but he never glanced at her, not even a bit.
As Loki arrived, he saw his brother holding Lorelei's hand as she slept quietly on the clinical bed. He couldn't help but click his tongue before speaking.
"Seems like you're taking this way too far, don't you think my dear brother?" Loki preluded which caught Luthor by surprise.
He immediately took his hand away from Lorelei and faced Loki.
"I see, my intuition was right, you came back." Luthor muttered before he stood up.
"Let me just remind you that you have no business to deal with her anymore, quit acting like a good Samaritan. I know your real intentions." Loki replied while looking intently at his brother.
If looks could kill, Luthor might have been dead by now. Loki's gaze pierced right through his brother's dark azure orbs. Unfortunately Luthor just gave him a smirk.
"Please spare me with your words Loki, you are entirely mistaken. I am not pursuing your clubmate, I just did what a person with right mind should do. I couldn't just leave her lying unconscious on the ground." Luthor stated while he had his hands placed inside his pocket.
He was about to head out from the clinic when Loki suddenly spoke.
"What about the hug, was that really necessary?" A moment of silence ensued.
"You like her, don't you?" Luthor was about to ignore his brother when Loki suddenly asked him that question, causing Luthor to halt from his tracks. He was taken aback.
Loki was waiting for his brother's response yet the only thing he heard was silence but it didn't led him to a dead end for that silence already served as a confirmation to his intuition.
In the end, Luthor eventually avoided answering the question and just walked his way out of the room. He really does like her.
Loki couldn't help but mutter deep sighs. Now he finally has a rival and it's none other than his own brother.
Silently, he sat on a chair beside Lorelei and held her hand. He just stared at her beautiful yet pale visage. She looks so vulnerable, he can't help but kiss her on the forehead. He just realized how much he adored this girl in front of him.
"Don't worry Lorelei. I'm already here, I'll never leave you."
Slowly, he held the hair strands covering up her face and tucked it back unto her ears. Loki whispered sweet things to her before he finally said those three delicate words.
"I love you."
