Peter's POV

We finally made our way into the R&D lab, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of familiarity. (Y/n) and I spent a lot of time here, especially in our shared lab. It was the place where we both could get lost in our work, but we also found ourselves wandering through other labs often enough that the other interns knew us by name. Some even swore to secrecy about our real identities, which always made me smile. They were trustworthy, and I knew we could count on them if we ever needed help with something more... superhero-related.

The elevator doors slid open, and our class started to file out. Flash, of course, made sure to shove me and (Y/n) as we stepped out. He smirked, clearly thinking he had some kind of upper hand. But what he didn't know, and what we both remembered, was that we were carrying weapons. The kind of weapons that didn't just sit in labs. But hey, let him think he was in control.

"Okay, students!" Katherine called out, her voice filled with excitement. "You're free to walk around, but please ask one of the interns or scientists if you want to touch anything. We'll regroup in 10 minutes for a special challenge!"

(Y/n) and I exchanged a look, both of us already heading toward the area where our friend Tyler worked. Tyler was a great guy—one of the few people in the lab who knew both of our secrets. He'd even helped us with a few designs for our suits, which I always appreciated. It felt like he was part of the team, even though he had no idea what exactly we did when we weren't hanging out at the lab.

"Hey, Ty!" (Y/n) greeted him with a wave. Tyler looked up from his work, a look of confusion crossing his face.

"What are you doing here?" he asked, eyes narrowing. "You better not be skipping school!"

"We're here on a field trip," I explained with a grin, trying to keep it light.

Tyler snorted, shaking his head. "Must be fun taking a tour of your own home," he joked, his voice full of amusement.

I rolled my eyes, but I couldn't help the laugh that followed. "Yeah, it's basically that."

We spent the next few minutes talking with Tyler, helping him with a formula he was working on for some kind of project. It was always interesting to see the kinds of things he was working on, and honestly, his experiments were some of the coolest around. But before we could get too deep into it, Katherine's voice rang out again.

"Alright, everyone! We'll be meeting Dr. Banner in his lab to do our activity!" she called, clearly excited.

The room erupted in a chorus of excited chatter at the mention of Bruce Banner. I couldn't help but chuckle at how hyped up everyone was. (Y/n) glanced at me, and we both shared a quiet laugh at how the entire class seemed to be in awe of meeting one of the most prestigious scientists in the world.

"Ned, you've met him before," (Y/n) said, nudging me with a playful grin.

"Yeah, but I've never been to his lab!" Ned responded, practically bouncing in excitement. "When will I get to go to your lab?" he asked, looking at (Y/n) and me eagerly.

"The next time you come over, you can visit," (Y/n) assured him, and I couldn't help but smile at the way Ned's face lit up. He was genuinely excited at the prospect of seeing where the magic happened.

We all headed back to the elevator, a sense of anticipation hanging in the air. I knew we'd be going to Dr. Banner's lab, a place I'd been to more times than I could count, but there was something about the way the rest of the class was acting that made it feel like the visit would be special. For (Y/n) and me, it was just another day in the lab. But for our classmates, especially Ned, it was a chance to see a side of science and technology they'd never imagined.
