Lucy and Natsu had separate rooms. Lucy was in the girls' room and Natsu was in the boys'.
Lucy entered the room and saw Erza and Mira fighting, Levy reading a book, Cana braiding Wendy's hair, Lisanna watching her big sister as she giggled at the scene. Juvia was there all alone, staring out the window so she approached her. Her face was downhearted.
"Juvia?" Lucy asked gently. "Is there something wrong?" Juvia turned to face her with the same sad expression she had just now. "You seem a bit sad." Lucy remarked.
Juvia simply shook her head. "It's nothing, Lucy should not worry about Juvia." She turned to look at Lucy and expressed a fake smile. "Juvia is perfectly fine." Lucy stared at her with a cute pout on her mouth and softly karate chopped Juvia's head.
"You shouldn't do that, Juvia." Lucy scolded. "If you hide your feelings with your friends, then we're not going to be able to help, right?"
There was a moment of silence before Juvia could reply.
"....What if Juvia doesn't need help?"
"That's preposterous! If you have a problem, then you're going to need help. Or else it won't get any better than it is." She started to preach at Juvia in a soft yet strong sense in her tone.
"What's....preposterous?" She asked. She is ten years old so she doesn't have a clue of what such a word could have meant. Unlike Lucy, Juvia was raised up in a place where the rain always fell and the sun hardly shone. She was stuck in her house, doing anything she could to make use of her time. She couldn't play outside and she wasn't so good with other people since she was in her house most of the time and she wasn't raised in a mansion filled with books and tutors like Lucy. She was an average little girl like the others, but she was a Pluviophile.
"It's another word for non-sense. Just like what your saying. You need help, Juvia." Lucy smiled and clapped a few times. "Now, can you tell me your problem?"
Juvia stared down at the floor boards, twiddling her thumbs. She didn't answer for a few seconds but answered. "It's not really a big problem but...." She was blushing and turned to look out of the window where some of the boys were playing, including Natsu.
"You like someone, don't you?" Juvia had a bit of a jolting action and froze, still facing the window. "So, which one is it?" Lucy giggled happily as Juvia was about to explode in embarrassment.
"T-That....one..." She nervously pointed at the boy who was fighting with Natsu. Lucy saw it immediately and the second Juvia turned around to see Lucy's expression, she wasn't there anymore. She turned her sight back to the window and saw Lucy running towards the two fighting boys, with the other little boys encouraging the fight.
"Hey!" Lucy exclaimed as she walked towards them. "Would you stop it?" Gray and Natsu stopped and looked at Lucy with a serious and confused look. There was a frozen moment for a while but they started to fight again. Lucy sighed at their stubbornness, she always knew Natsu was like that, but Gray? She doesn't even know him!
"Don't worry, Lucy." Said Erza as she placed her hand on Lucy's shoulder. She then walked up to them with her head raised up high, proving her pride to be very high. "Hey! You two!" Erza yelled.
Both Gray and Natsu turned to Erza who had this warning glare on her face. "Both of you! Stop fighting!" She ordered, then they both glared at her and continued to fight.
