Is It You? - 34

A/N: Late updates. I'm really sorry. Active na ulit ako. :) Naluksa lang muna ako ng panandalian sa pag-alis ni Ate Leng (shirlengtearjerky) sa wattpad. She's my idol eh!

After this upadate, start na ulit ng pagiging active ko. We are so close to the climax. Haha. Atsaka kasi excited na ko ipost yung next story ko. HAHA.

Anyway. Chapter 34 is up (and it's kinda short).  :) Hirap kasi talaga ko magpahaba ng chapter. Hehe. Usually straight to the ppint yung updates ko.

[Lance's POV]

Vernice has been bugging me since our flag ceremony. Nakakainis. Ang hirap nitong situation ko. 

Una. Masakit parin yung nangyari nung birthday ni Vernice. Who the hell can get overwith the pain in a span of three days?! Sige nga. Makagawa nun ililibre ko ng lunch sa Burgoo everyday. 

Pangalawa. I really find it hard to ignore her. Ang kulit nya. Remember kung pano ako napaamin sakanya? Dahil sa kakulitan nya diba? Now, mas makulit sya! As in.

Pangatlo. Katabi ko sya and it's so awkward to sit beside her. Sobra, swear. Nakakatuyo ng lalamunan. Feeling ko hindi na nagfufunction yung larynx ko. 

I want this day to end already.

[Annika's POV]

One word to describe this moment -- AWKWARD. Magkatabi kami ni Lance pero hanggang ngayon,  hindi parin kami nagpapansinan. I tried to talk to him for a couple of times but he's ignoring me.  Nakakapanis ng laway, swear.

*flashbacks*

#1. Flag Ceremony.

Dahil magkaheight kami ni Lance, katabi ko sya sa pila. Kasi diba magkatabi yung pila ng boys and girls.

"Hi Lance."

"Uy, Clarence. Ano nga ulit first subject natin?"

"Filipino." - Ako.

"Huy Clarence. Ano first subject natin?"

"Fili."

"Ah, thanks."

See? Hindi nya ko pinansin. :((

#2. Filipino Time.

"Klase, may ipapagawa akong gawain sainyo. Kailangan nyong isadula ang isang kabanata sa El Filibusterismo. Upang magawa ito, humanap ng kapares na kamg-aral at magplano kung paano gagawain ang pagsasadula. Magsimula na."

Oh sht. Absent si KC ngayon. Sino partner ko nito? Usually kasi pag ganito si KC or Gella partner ko. Pero ngayon, parehas silang wala.

Si Lance kaya?

"Lance, may kapartner ka na?"

"Uy Gab! Partner tayo!" - Christian

"Sige bro."

Aww. For the second time, he ignored me.

#3. Lunch Time.

Nakaupo lang si Lance sa upuan nya. He's quiet today. I saw a vacant chair beside him, at umupo ako dun.

"Lance.."

"..."

"Lance.."

"..."

He really does not want to talk to me! :((

"Lance.. I'm sorry."

Do you know what he did? Sinaksak nya sa tenga nya yung earphones nya and put the volume in max, to the point na kahit ako naririnig yung kanta at umubob sya sa armchair nya and pretended to be asleep. :(

#4. Advanced Physics Time.

May review test kami ngayon sa AdPhy in preparation for the third periodical exam before our christmas break. Natural mang mang ako sa subject na to. I hate this subject. 

Isa lang ang savior ko pag AdPhy. Ang seatmate ko.

"Lance.."

"..."

"Uy. Sorry na kasi."

"..."

"Lance. Sorry na, please."

Nilingon nya ko. That time, nabuhayan na ko ng dugo! Ayan na! Papansinin na nya ko! Persistence pays, Annika.

Pero yun yung akala ko. Nung nilingon nya ko, hindi nya ko kinausap. He just looked at me for a moment then he passed his testpaper.

Goodness. He is really mad at me. :( What am I gonna do?!

*end of flashbacks*

Last subject na namin. I don't want this day to end yet. Why? Simply because Lance is still ignoring me. Gusto ko magkaayos kami ngayon, before our school time ends.

"That's all for today, goodbye class."

"Goodbye, Miss Santiago."

"By the way, cleaners, remain. You have to clean your room." 

Nice timing. By row ang schedule ng cleaners. At magkatabi kami ni Lance. It only means one thing. We will stay to clean the room.

Nagsikuha ng cleaning materials yung iba naming classmate at kaming dalawa nalang yung naiwan sa room. Sya nag-aayos ng gamit. Ako naman, kabado kasi magsosorry ulit ako sakanya.

"Lance.."

Ugh. This sucks. Puro 'Lance' yung opening statement ko.

But he ignored me. He started to walk towards the blackboard. He grabed a chalk and wrote something on the board.

"Look. Lance, I know you got hurt with what you saw and heard. But I didn't mean to hurt you. You know I love you beacuse you are my friend. So I'm reall---"

Napatigil ako sa pagsasalita ko kasi he did something. And I didn't expect that he would ever do that to me.

He walked out.

And slammed the door close.

Great. Just great. 

Right after he slammed the door, napaupo ako sa sahig.

And the next thing I did is to..

..CRY.
