Chapter 37:Lifetime

"I'm three weeks pregnant."

My eyes widened and glanced at my cousin. Naiwan sa ere ang hawak kong kutsara at alam ko na maging ang iba pa naming kasama ay natigilan tulad ko. I blinked twice when Christian smirked and put his arm around my cousin's shoulder.

I almost jump mid air when Nat on my side suddenly screamed,earning us the attention of all the customers. Narinig ko ang malulutong na mura ni Diego sa gilid ko at yumuko ng todo. And Ben on the other side,suddenly clapped his hands slowly while looking at the couple in front of us.

" Congratulations!ninang ako,ah?" Nat smiled widely.

I put down my spoon amd smirked at the couple. Paulit ulit ang pagtaas baba ng kilay ni ate Bea sa akin habang ang asawa niyang si Christian sa tabi niya ay nanatiling nakangisi. Kuya Miguel even stood up just to tap Christian's shoulder.

I giggled," Ninang din ako."

" Ayos ah?bilis mo pre!" Ben laughed.

Maging siya ay tumayo na din at tinapik sa braso si Christian. Diego shook his head and laughed. Ganoon din ang ginawa niya katulad nila Ben.

The happiness and excitement was very evident in the couple's faces in front of us. The way ate Bea announced the good news to us is full of proudness. Never in my life I saw my cousin this happy. And knowing that it was because of the baby in her tummy,and probably because of the man next to her,made me happy for them.

Christian might have a side like Ben,but I know he really loves my cousin. It was ideal,sobrang mahal nila ang isa't isa na biglaan nalang nagpakasal sa Spain ng hindi namin nalalaman,maging ang parents nila. They are loving each other in a good way. Wish I could also love someone in the way they do. Pero sa unang pag-ibig ko palang ay ibinigay ko na ang lahat,that's why I end up in pain.

I sighed heavily and tried my best to join their conversation just so they won't notice that I am spacing out again. I am just so uncomfortable. Lalo na at nandito lang din siya kasama ang fiance niya. I can feel that he keeps on stealing glances in our table every other minute. I don't know if it is because our group is so noisy. At hindi ko din alam kung bakit hindi parin kami pinapaalis ng manager dito gayong kami lang ng grupo ko ang maingay.

But well,it might be because of the actor beside me. Masyadong sikat ang hangal na 'to at hanggang dito ay may mga fans.

"Oh,Dr.Lazaro?you're here?!"

My forehead creased when Ben suddenly spoke out with a glint of surprise in his voice. Iritado ko na sana siyang babalingan na katabi ni Christian sa harapan ko ngunit natigilan din agad nang mapagtanto ang sinabi niya.

Muntikan ng mabulunan si Nat sa tabi ko na agad namang dinaluhan ni kuya Miguel na nasa tapat niya ngayon. Napangiwi ako nang bigla akong bungguin ni Nat sa braso matapos niyang mainom ang tubig na inilahad sakaniya ni kuya.

"And Dra.Olivarez!" Ben included.

I shifted on my seat as I slowly looked up. Mabuti nalang at si Diego ang nasa kabilang gilid ko kaya hindi ako ganoong kalapit sa dalawang tao na nakatayo sa gilid namin. But still,instead that my heart will calm,it only just beated more rapidly. Kinaya ko pa na nasa kabilang mesa lang sila pero ang ganito kalapit at magkadikit silang dalawa sa harap ko ay mas lalo lang nakapagpa kaba sa akin.

I raised an eyebrow when I caught Dr.Lazaro looking at me. I stare at him blankly. He's wearing a light blue long sleeve folded till his elbows and slacks. His hair is properly fixed like last night and from here,I could smell his scent. Beside him was Ashley Shane Olivarez in her pink spaghetti strap fitted dress. Her hair is in a half ponytail and like when we first met each other after 7 years,her lipstick is partnered with her dress and stilettos. She looks so beautiful like a model. Well,mga ganiyang babae naman ang gusto ni Dr.Lazaro. Hindi na dapat ako magtaka kung bakit siya ang pinili niyang pakasalan.
