Millie's Pov
I was fast asleep when I got a call at 3:00 am. I picked up my phone and saw Finn was calling me, I answered.
"Hey Finn, do you need anything?" I say with such a groggy voice.
"Oh, did I wake you? My bad." Finn says
"Yes, you did but it's ok." I say
"Ok, well Millie." He says, I turn my light and set my phone upright so he could see me. He then does the same.
"What's wrong?" I say, I feel very embarrassed. Why? Because whenever I first wake up that's when my accent is at its strongest.
"I can't sleep." I try not to smile because I love when he has a low husky voice when he is sleepy or he has just woken up.
"Aw Bubba, do you have any idea why?" I ask.
"I think I know.."
"Why?"
"I'm just nervous."
"Why?"
"I have to do this thing soon and I don't know how it's gonna go."
"You can always tell me anything Bubs." I say
"I...I'm finally going to tell the girl I like how I feel about her, and I'm going to ask her out." He says smiling, man I hope I don't become jealous of this girl. I just wish it was me but whatever.
"Oh, well I'm glad you are finally going to ask her out, but why are you nervous?" I say without seeming sad.
"Because I don't think she likes me back. That's why." He says
"Finn, you shouldn't be nervous, any girl would be stupid if they didn't have feelings for you. I think she will be very lucky to have you." I say
"Thanks Mills, you always know how to make me feel better."
"Of course Finnie, is that all you wanted me for? To help you overcome your fear of asking this girl out?"
"Well, yea but I also love talking to my best friend at this time." He says laughing a little.
"Ok, but do you really like talking to me at 3:00 am rather than a reasonable time?" I ask laughing half way through my sentence.
"Yes, I love talking when we are not tired. But I feel that if we talk at this time we can be more real I guess." He says
"I get that, but I'm kinda tired now. Are you?" I say
"Same, so I guess this is the end of this conversation?" Finn says, sounding tired.
"Yes, I think it would be best to end it here. I hope I helped you." I say.
"I agree, and of course Millie. You're like the best person to help me with my problems at 3:00 am." He says
"Alright Wolfhard, Goodnight." I say
"Goodnight Brown." He says and then we say bye and hang up the phone. Soon I drifted off to sleep and I had a dream.
