This was a one time thing I wrote when struggling to find plot for the sequel.

It is not the actual sequel, nor will it ever be completed or continued.

Don't Panic 2

So like we already got all the monsters and shit in the first one

But what if

All time low
Was kidnapped seven-eight years later
By a man
In a panda suit

Hear me out

Alex wakes up in a weird little pastel colored room

"What the fuck?" He thinks.

He calls out, but gets no response
And then he sees the cake

"Weird..."

He begins to struggle against the ropes, wondering who trapped him here and why.

The battle of the gays was years ago, surely no one's come to destroy them now?

He calls out the names of his fellow bandmates, as well as his now husband, Jack.

But he's met with deafening silence.

As he continues his struggle to escape the ropes, he hears footsteps from behind him. He's pretty sure he saw a door there, but he never got a good look.

Then he hears the unmistakable sound of a door opening and closing, and to Alex's surprise, a panda walks in.

"What the-"
"Be quiet!" A raspy voice orders, walking over to the cake and lighting the candle with a blow torch.

The panda walks back to Alex leaning in way too close, and holding the blow torch up to Alex's face. "You and your little bandmates think you're so smart. So heroic. You'll pay. You'll all pay."

Then the panda laughs as he exits the room, locking the door behind him.

Alex gets a sinking feeling in his chest as the words process in his mind. You and your little bandmates will pay.

"Jack!" Alex shouts desperately. "Jack, are you there?!"

Nothing. Not a sound.

He turns to the cake, noticing the flame of the candle getting dangerously close to the frosting. Then it occurs to him.

It's not a candle, it's a fuse.

"JACK!" He cries, struggling against the ropes that tie him down. "JACKY?"

He screams and cries for help that will never come, until there's no fuse left to burn.

The cake explodes, but not in the fiery death Alex had expected.

Frosting flies everywhere, sticking to Alex's face and clothes.

He blinks, surprised. That's not at all what he had expected to happen. Is this some weird fetish thing?

Alex expects the panda to return, but instead he begins to feel lightheaded, until eventually his vision goes dark.

Brain mom: you should work on your novel. Ya know, since you're in the mood to write

Nah nah fam. I wanna write about this shit

Brain mom: *deep sigh*

Alex wakes up at a table, the memory of the pastel room and the exploding cake seeming like a wild trip dream.

But in front of him sits his passed out friends in the same pastel room and another cake on the table.

Then he spots Jack. The love of his life now wearing a party hat while asleep in a dining chair.

Jack looks much older since the apocalypse began. Though, he definitely still looks young. He had stopped trying to shave every day, and he had recently bleached his hair, Alex had done so first, but there was bleach leftover, and Jack wasn't one for wasting things.

Alex sighs, thankful that Jack is still breathing. Maybe they're in some creeps weird little hostage room, but at least they're together.

Rian wakes up next, and starts asking questions immediately. "Where are we? Who's that panda? What the hell's going on?"
"I don't know," Alex mutters, staring at Jack, silently wishing he'd wake up.

They're all tied to chairs around the table. If they weren't, Alex would have tried to wake his husband up by now.

"You don't think it's Ronnie, do you?" Rian asks.
"I killed him ten years ago, Ri."
"Eight years. But yeah, true."

The spend the next few minutes trying to wake the other half of the band.

"Alex?" Jack mutters. "What- Alex, what happened? Where are we-"
"I don't know, Love," Alex says to Jack who's just woken up.
Rian's talking to Zack now.

"T-there was a panda, and then the cake blew up-"
"Sounds like we had the same experience with that panda then," Alex says.
Jack looks at him for a long time. "Do you think it's Ronnie?"
"I don't know. But he definitely knows us."

The conversation comes to end when the table begins to spin.

"Alex..." Jack mutters nervously.

The group looks between one another, no one knowing what to say or do.

The table gains speed, spinning them fast enough that they begin feeling nauseous. And then the whole thing stops, leaving them dizzy and confused.

One of their songs plays from an unseen speaker, a song they wrote called Everything Is Fine, but it sounds disjointed and wrong, like seeing yourself in a funhouse mirror.

"We never showed this to anyone," Rian whispers, referring to the song.
"They must have been spying on us or something," says Zack, who's been otherwise silent for most of the time he's been awake.

Alex and Jack look at each other nervously. Alex had said he'd been feeling like they were being watched, but Jack had just said he was paranoid. Now it made sense. They should've been more careful.

The cake in front of them explodes, and then the lights go out.

"Jack?" Alex cries. He's been afraid of the dark since the night Jack was kidnapped.
"I'm right here," Jack assures him.

"Zack, are you okay?"
"I'm fine, Ri."

The lights don't turn back on.
