Chapter Seven

Isabel

I am on lookout at the corridor and I'm starting to get really worried cause of the noise we're making. Luckily no one's here. I take off my gloves and put it in my pocket replacing it with my phone and start scrolling through my social media.

This ship will be stopping at an island tomorrow and we'll be heading for the carnival immediately for some real fun.

Thirty minute's almost up and I'm about to go get them when I hear a familiar voice rounding the corner. It's those boys from last night. What's their name again?

They don't notice me and I start whistling so my friends stop the racket. I hope they can hear the signal. The not so cheerful one has his hands in his pockets and looks up, when he sees me and scowls. The one talking notices me and smiles. They start walking towards me.

"Didn't expect to see you so soon after last night," the boy I think is Jace, the more comfortable one says. "What are you doing here anyway? I don't think you're on this level and... what was that noise?"

"Um... nothing," I said quickly thinking of an excuse."It's just the music on my phone. You know punk, screamo, rock n' roll." I said, awkwardly showing them my phone in my hand

They both looked at each other then back at me. Some moments of silence passed between us with me looking anywhere but at them.

"So Isabel where are your friends? The ones from the party." Jace or Jake asks.

"Yeah we're um...playing hide and seek and I'm the seeker." I shrugged. "You know what? time's up and I think they'll be back on our level." I said a little louder this time hoping my friends heard me so they could get the hint.

Looking at the two boys in front of me. I think I just remembered their names. It would be rude if I didn't and they remembered mine.

"Do you...maybe want to come with me and meet them?" I asked after some seconds of silence.

"Sure. Why not?" The one I remembered his name to be Jacky said and his friend I think is Tom just shrugged.

Tom, I think was staring at me in a weird way as if he knew I was trying to hide something.

I immediately started walking downstairs with them behind me to my level on the ship. I'm silently praying my friends don't get caught.

Harley

"You know what? time's up and I think they'll be back on our level." We heard Isabel say as we were pressed to the door listening. I guess she was trying to hint at us.

We waited some more to be sure they'd gone when Isabel offered to introduce them to us. Jenny and George then added finishing touches with the eggs. I couldn't help but snicker quietly.

I opened the door slightly, looking both left and right to be sure we were in the clear. No one was roaming the corridors so we slipped out with the trash bag.

Our thirty minutes weren't up yet. We still had about three minutes remaining. We quickly took off our gloves and Jenny and I took off our beanies while George his cap.

We headed up to Lauren's level and gave her our bag of stuff to hide. She and Jenny had a long sister talk about the pranks Lauren pulled when she was Jenny's age. I guess pranking runs in the family cause you could not imagine what Junior, Jenny's younger brother was capable of.
