I was still waiting for the guardians to pop out of somewhere from behind the trees surrounding us. What I saw standing before me was unbelievable. I had to say something, no matter how stupid it might sound after.
"Are you our guardians' pets or something?" I asked, skeptically. I mean I expected to see ancient, old people and not animalsand... is that a pixie? They were actually cool looking with the outline of each of our elements.
"Warriorsberestassuredwe'reyourguardians,assignedby the elders of the elementstobeyourguideonthismagicalJourney." They said all at the same time. It was kind of creepy and since when did animals talk? Okay, magic. I forgot about that.
Jenny and George doubled over, laughing. Isabel and I glared at them, trying to hold back smiles of our own.
"Eachofusareassignedtoone of youpersonally." The pixie stated.
"So I get the majestic water horse." I said.
