Demonya
"Hello, brother," I called out, entering the dungeon where my three favorite prisoners were kept.
Luna and Solar attempted to growl at me when in sight and I gave them a tsk. They never learn.
"You poor scrawny cats," I smiled eyeing their bony bodies from outside their cage. They haven't been feeding well for celestial beings.
"You disgust us." They both said at the same time. I ignored them, they weren't worth my time.
"What do you want Demonya?" Destiny sighed. "You wouldn't come all the way here just to say hello."
He was telling the truth. I haven't been visiting. I last came here seeking advice for conquering a special dragon. That was two years ago. It had gone rogue and wanted to kill me for some reason.
"I love that you know me so well." I drawled sarcastically.
"Get on with it." He snapped.
I put my brother in chains but I still can't see why he's so snappy. I mean I feed them once a day, just putting the food out of their reach so they use any magic energy they have left in their reserve to get it. And with Destiny, that's a lot. Light energy is everywhere. Take his life force today and it just comes back the next day.
"Alright, alright. No need to get so pushy about it." I crossed my arms over my chest and rolled my eyes.
"The new generation elementals are in our world." I told him and he just looked at me like I was crazy.
"I know, right. I didn't believe it when I heard it either."
"So what do you want me to do? Looks like you'll be finally stopped." He snarled, smiling.
"Don't be so happy to finally get rid of me yet, brother." I glared. "The elementals are children." I smiled victoriously, seeing him frown, then he smiled again making me think I almost imagined it.
"Must be sad knowing you're going to loose to mere children, sister." He smirked.
"You wound me." I clutched my chest, faking hurt.
"Anyways, that's not why I'm here." I flicked my hand and a miniature throne appeared. "I heard the elementals are of only Water, Nature, Air, Ice, Earth and Fire. That is six of them." I sat.
"Were you expecting other elementals of Light and Darkness?" He looked at me like I was going crazy. "Sorry to break it to you dear sister, okay not really sorry but we're both not dead yet."
"Well one of us soon will be." I muttered but still loud enough for him to hear me.
"I know that, and you know what I'm talking about." I accused. "There's an elemental missing."
It finally clicked in his head what I was saying.
"Yes." He laughed humorlessly. "Elemental of Lightening"
"Exactly. So what I want to know is why this elemental isn't with this generation of elementals and if it's ever happened before."
"How am I supposed to know that?"
"We both know, you've always been the bright one when it comes to history." I said. He really just wanted to hear me say it.
"Well I don't know." He said bluntly.
"Then you're useless to me." I told him offhandedly, making ready to leave.
"Why do you do this?" He asked, looking at me right in the eye as I had made my throne disappear. "All of this." He gestured with his hands.
"Brother, all these years and you still don't know?" I asked him smiling wickedly.
"Mother was so happy when she heard the news about us becoming elementals," He told me and I clenched my hands in anger.
I hated hearing about her. So innocent, so foolish.
"She told us we were going to be legendary do-gooders one day and that we were what the world needed."
"Don't you ever speak of mother again." I growled. "She was naive. Father did always say it. Being stupid is a weakness I can't afford to have." I spat.
"I was good," The word felt like poison on my tongue. "But I changed into something big, better than before. You of all people should know how I love getting stronger and if it takes a thousand lives then it's worth fighting for." I told him. "I was a natural. The best ever, I heard. Always pushing my limits."
"Why would the elders put a limit on our powers?" He didn't respond. Normally in this point of our conversations he'd say something like for balance and whatnot.
"That's right. They were afraid. Afraid of me and so they tried to get rid of me." I laughed humorlessly.
"Why be second to you at being good when I can always be the best at being bad. Bad is much more fun."
"But why do you do it?" He pressed desperately, still hoping.
Foolish if you ask me.
"I do it for the Glory, Destiny, I do it for the Glory."
