Wow, I felt like my moment of being Charlie in the film Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory was short lived.
I mean we had the right theme going on and I just had to go ruin the moment. But it a good question though and even somewhat inevitable.
Isabel's voice broke the silence, cutting through the thick tension in the air. "It isn't going to be any of our parents, right? I mean don't get me wrong, I love them but..."
"Don't worry Isabel," I said smiling "we understand."
Parents on our vacation wouldn't be peachy. You know how parents are. We would have to be all prim and proper. I mean then we would probably be conscious of our type of fun and get into way less mischief than we planned to do on that ship.
"What about your brother Harls? He's cool." George said with a sheepish grin.
Actually no, my brother isn't cool. There were so many reasons why he shouldn't come I could think of. I mean Drake's twenty and still a slob. Have you seen his room? Trust me, it looks like a dump whenever he gets back from college.
"No way." I said through gritted teeth.
"Yeah, and Drake's pretty good looking."Jenny added winking at me.
Yup, my brother was good looking and muscular, but I wouldn't admit that to anyone.
"Jenny he's not," I said blandly "and sorry to disappoint but he isn't coming back for the summer." I smiled victoriously.
"I don't know why siblings can't get along." Isabel shrugged. "I wish I had one."
Isabel is an only child. And maybe she's right, I do take my brother for granted. Truth is I love him even though I don't show it much and I think he knows that too.
George has a sister in the sixth grade. Her name's Lily and she's so cute. Jenny has a little brother,Junior and a big sis, Lauren. Wait Lauren she's an adult, well adultish. She turned eighteen last month and I've got to say she's pretty cool.
"Wait a minute." I said smiling. "Lauren's a legal adult. She's eighteen."
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot." Jenny said grinning sheepishly.
"And she's cool. Nice job Harls."Isabel said smiling.

We had arrived at my place and my friends had started to set up the play station. I immediately run upstairs and knock on my parents bed room door. I get let in and tell them the incredible news.
"Wow honey we're so happy for you." My dad stated smiling. He got up from his spot on the bed, mom too.
"Yes honey so happy." My mum said smiling too and hugging me. "Now when are you leaving for your trip and how long will you be gone?"
In all the excitement I forgot to read that particular information contained in the ticket. I left her embrace and pulled out the ticket from my pocket. I started freaking out.
"It's this Friday!" I yelled and my parents tried to calm me down.
How could this be? Today's Thursday. What kind of psycho organized this event anyways?
"Mom you've got to help me pack. Please?" I pleaded hugging her tight.
"Sure." She said kissing me on the top of my head. "I'll start right away."
"By the way honey, are you kids going on this cruise all by yourselves?" Dad asked me.
"Of course not dad, Lauren's going to be there. She's an adult now, remember?" I said giving him a reassuring smile.
"How could I forget? She turned eighteen last month." He said laughing and I just smiled at him.
"Okay, now I've got to go tell my friends they've got to go pack their stuff." I said pecking them on the cheek. I walked out of the room shutting the door carefully behind me and then I ran down stairs.
"Guys you have to go home and start packing." I told them still panting slightly from the run down the stairs.
"Why?" Isabel asked furrowing her brows. "We were just about to start the game."
"Cause the teen cruise starts tomorrow at noon!" I yelled
"WHAT!!!" They all exclaimed getting up from the couch.
"Yeah I know." I said pushing them out through the door. "Remember it's a week we're staying on the cruise. Jenny don't forget to tell Lauren about the trip." I yelled after them.
I sighed shutting the door. I had to get to packing with my mum so made my way upstairs to my room.
"This could take sometime." I said to myself when I saw most of my clothes on the floor of my room and my mum deep in my closet.
