Chapter Five

Harley

Lauren, Jenny and I finished our shopping for a dress two hours later. We agreed to go back home and get ready for the cruise that was almost an hour away.

Right now my parents and I were on our way to the port where we would find the ship. I would have to wait for my friends to arrive before I got onto the vessel.

I was in the backseat slouching while listening to my dad telling me how I should behave, cause no trouble and whatnot.

I mean don't get me wrong, I'm not the delinquent type or anything but I and my friends have gotten into lots of mischief sometimes our fault, sometimes not and most times unintentionally. I almost feel sorry for the ship

We had arrived at the port and when I got out of the car I was starstruck. The ship was gigantic and so beautiful.

"Whoa," I said taking the sight in. "this is amazing."

My mom got out of the car and stood beside me.

"It is amazing isn't it." She said hugging me at my sides.

My dad helped me with my luggage and we made our way to the docks.

Once at the docks I spotted most of the people in my class and some people that I didn't even know yet. In this small town there are not many schools.

Since this was a teenage cruise I also spotted some seniors. Some people here bought their tickets though. Not many people here got their ticket from a yoghurt cup. The ticket was so expensive that I'm so glad we got that free ticket prize.

"Harley!" Jenny squealed crushing me into a hug.

I laughed untangling myself from her. "We met earlier this morning" I told her. "Why the hug?"

"Don't know. Just so excited." She replied. She was really jumpy.

My mom and dad were talking to some grownups and I saw Lauren talking to some people her age not so far away. George was heading straight for me and Jenny with a smile on his boyish face.

"Hi guys," George said cheerfully. "How are my best friends in the whole wide world doing?" He then looked around and furrowed his brows "Where's Isabel?"

"I'll call her." Jenny offered taking out her phone and dialing. "She's not picking up." She said after trying like four times.

It was almost time to board the ship. Seven minutes to be exact. My parents pulled me into a hug.

"We're gonna miss you honey," my dad said handing me my suitcase. "Remember to steer clear from trouble. Wouldn't want to get a call telling me you've been bad."

I rolled my eyes good naturedly. "Sure dad, I'll try." I said barely whispering the last part.

"Also remember to have fun." My mom sniffed.

Oh My Glob!

She was going to cry.

"Mom," I groaned. "Please don't cry. I'll only be gone for a week ." I said hugging her.

"I know but I'll still miss you hon." She said her eyes glazed with tears.

"I'll miss you too." I said hugging her tightly.

I let go and pecked them on the cheek. I waved my parents goodbye as they got into their car and drove off.

Just then Isabel walked towards us with Dickson behind her rolling a suitcase. He's Isabel's chauffeur and he couldn't be older than thirty.
