Where do I even begin?
Oh yeah! That's right!
I got roped into this when Ben called me on the phone.
"Hey Rae?" Ben said in a nervous tone.
"What do you want, Ben?" I asked, wanting this conversation to be over.
"Erinne wants to be alone right now, but I'm guessing that she'd want some company, soooo-"
"So what? Get to the point, Ben. I'm getting ready for the party."
"So- can you find Erinne and give her some company?"
"But the party's in a few hours-"
"Rae," Ben cut me off in a sharp tone. "We need to help her, even if she wants some time alone."
"But-"
Ben cut me off again. "You swore your life to this gang. How is Erinne any different? Even if she's probably in denial, you still have to do this. Your mom would want you to."
"Fine," I sighed. "But do not bring my mom into this conversation, she doesn't have anything to do with this."
"Will do!" Ben hung up on the phone and I took a deep breath to calm myself.
Mom's happy, I thought. She's with dad, resting together in peace.
Since Ben's stupid, he wouldn't know that Erinne needed some to herself before she could have any human interaction. So, I decided to kill a few hours by walking downstairs, fixing my beanie along the way.
"Rae, come check this out!" Andrea said as she patted on the couch. I sat down and faced the TV.
"Are you watching cartoons?" I asked.
Why would a sophomore be watching cartoons in her free time?
"NO!" She shouted. "It's anime."
"That's for kids-"
"Hey!" Andrew screamed from behind, startling both of us. "Why'd you start without me?!"
