not a story more of one of those Tumblr posts because I had this thought at like 2am last night lol

alright so I was thinking
percy having his memories ripped from him, not knowing where he was, being on the run all the way to camp jupiter... i don't think we appreciate how terrifying and awful that must have been
and like... when they fall into tartarus and annabeth is grateful they didn't fall into the lethe or styx or anything like that
what if one night percy has a nightmare they did, and he just forgot who he was, or forgot annabeth or sally or anything really
and it like, really shakes him up because he never ever wants to forget again
and then annabeth is like... write it down
percy: what?
and she tells him to write everything down about his life, so no matter what happens, he can't forget
and then the pjo series is born

(And I know it's now canon sally wrote them but IMAGINE)
