Not the whole thing because the end actually got really dark and I wrote it after watching this show called Sweet/Vicious that was on MTV for a season... it was a really interesting, eye-opening show. I was disappointed when it got cancelled. But anyway, I wrote this a while ago and figured I'd share the cutsey part before it got bad haha- hope you enjoy!

Manhattan had blessed the couple with a warm, sunny day for once. It was perfect for their low-key date around the city; it was spontaneous, with not much time for planning. Against all of Annabeth's instincts, she grabbed Percy's hand and dragged him through the city streets that evening with no itinerary in mind. She wasn't usually one for shopping, but Percy's look of excitement and adoration when she stepped out of the dressing room wearing something he picked out made her laugh every time.

"Oooh, this one!" said boyfriend exclaimed, bouncing on his heels before dragging her into Littler Boutique. Music played lightly over the speakers as women picked their way through racks of clothes that were surely worth more than themselves. Annabeth had to admit, the place had a nice rustic atmosphere to it; she stood in the doorway, scanning the store. By the time she had finished, her black-haired boy had already disappeared. She cursed, maneuvering through a few aisles- and people- to search for him. A particular top caught her eye; it was a simple, loose tank with a strappy back. Usually it would have been too low cut in the back for her tastes, but the sea green color, which almost perfectly matched a certain pair of eyes, heavily outweighed that fact. She picked it up, checking the price tag. She was pleasantly surprised that it would cost her less than twenty dollars.

She glanced around, awkwardly folding the material over her arm before continuing her search. She was starting to wonder if he had left as a joke- the store was too small to hide in- when she was jabbed in the side by a finger. She squeaked in surprise, her heart rate spiking, before whipping around defensively.

"Whoa, sorry," Percy held his hands up in surrender, a playful smile dancing on his lips. "Here, I found- what's that?" He tilted his head to the side like a puppy, grabbing the shirt from her arm before she could protest. He held it up, his grin mischievous. "I like it."

Annabeth flushed pink, reaching for his items in a desperate attempt to hide the fact that she had actually shopped. She grabbed the three hangers from his fingers and rushed towards the back, where she knew the dressing rooms were from her initial observations of the store. She ducked into one quickly, relaxing when the door clicked behind her. It was then that she went through what he had chosen for her.

He had gotten a little risqué this time around-the first item was a short, black bodycon dress that was bound to show a lot of cleavage- and ass. Something he definitely knew. She rolled her grey eyes, knowing it was probably just a tease, and hung it on a peg the dressing room provided.

The corner of her lips tugged into a smile at the dark wash pair of jeggings and v-neck that came next. That was her usual attire, and it confirmed her original theory about the dress. He never expected her to actually put it on.

Which was why she was so determined to go out of her comfort zone. It would be great revenge.

Ha.

She pulled off her t-shirt and shorts, ignoring the mirror for the time being. She checked the lock on the door before stripping off her sports bra, sighing with relief. She nearly jumped out of her skin when someone knocked on the door.

"Uh, I'm in here!" she cried out nervously, her hands flying up to her breasts. Fabric flew over the door; she recognized it as the shirt Percy had stolen from her.

"You forgot that!" he chimed in.

She rolled her eyes in amusement, picking it up before detaching the dress from the hanger and slipping it on as quickly as she could without ripping it.
