Part 2 of at least 3 of Quintessential Teenage Fun (yep, just couldn't stop writing). I loved all the sweet and fun comments on the last part, thank you guys so much! You all get me so hyped up to post chapters thank you for making this so fun :)
This one is more fluff, but we get the hits of that good ole' angst before we get all depressing in Part 3. On that note... Enjoy!

The storm of Friday had been completely forgotten when the sun rose Saturday morning.
Golden sunlight filtered through the white curtains of the bedroom, bathing the room in warmth. Annabeth smiled as it pulled her out of sleep, forever grateful for the dreamless night. Those were few and far between. She couldn't decide if the blessing had been because she had crashed from exhaustion the night before or just the pure serenity of the beach, where she could just barely make out the sound of the waves crashing on the shore over the distant squawking of seagulls.
A happy sigh pulled from her lips while she sat up, gently untangling her legs from Percy's. A quick glance at the vintage clock hung showed that it was only eight ten- to a normal twenty year old, that'd be terrible news. To a demigod who had fought two wars and survived a trip to Tartarus in back, that meant she'd slept for a solid nine hours without any interruption.
Percy was still passed out next to her. Annabeth stifled a laugh at the drool pooling on his pillow, absentmindedly stoking his hair as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. Her mind ran through the plans for the day. There wasn't much set in stone other than enjoying the water. Jason and Piper had volunteered to make breakfast, so they were off the hook for that, but she'd have to change into her swimsuit and braid her hair- maybe slap on some mascara- before she was ready to go.
Movement next to her halted her train of thought as Percy curled up tighter against her hip with an unintelligible murmur. The mess of black waves atop his head brushed her thigh in his attempt to get closer.
"Morning, Seaweed Brain," she whispered giddily as her skin sparked at the contact. This, she realized. This was everything that she had ever wanted right in front of her. Percy. Peace. Part of her worried that she'd wake up, that it was some sort of dream, but the rest was too drunk on happiness to really care.
"Don't stop," he mumbled, the words muffled by the blankets. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"Stop what?"
"The hair thing," he rasped, shifting again so that his cheek rested on the fabric of her pajama pants.
The blonde hadn't even realized she'd moved her hand away. With a scoff she resumed massaging the top of his head, not able to restrain a small laugh at the happy squeak that escaped him.
"Yess. Good morning," he grinned, stretching his legs out across her. He nestled his head into her hand. "That's so nice."
"You gonna start purring?" she teased.
His nose crinkled upwards. "Don't think so. Maybe. We should get a cat," he murmured tiredly. Annabeth's stomach floated at the breathy tone.
She scoffed. "Yeah, right. What would we do with a cat?"
"Name him."
"Name him what?"
His eyes blinked open, glowing green in the soft light.
"George, or something."
"George?" she parroted incredulously.
"Or something. Ooh," he poked her knee, "A white one. Named Soot."
