Short. Maybe I'll make it a full thing one day where they take Estelle trick or treating.

SALLY COULDN'T STOP LAUGHING.

Percy had been hyping up his Halloween costume for months now, promising her it was the best he'd ever put together. She'd been kept in the dark and had taken a few guesses, ranging from superheroes to fish to even the gods themselves. Part of her expected heavy makeup or even an extravagant get up, especially when Annabeth came over early to help him put it together. They'd disappeared into his room for almost an hour. Nothing could have prepared her for what came strutting out.

Percy's black waves were hidden beneath a cheap blonde polyester wig. The plastic curls spilled out from underneath a navy Yankees ball cap sitting on his head. He wore his typical camp shirt, but it was clear that his necklace was quite a bit more decorated. Light wash jeans met white off brand Nikes at his ankle while he twirled a familiar looking dagger in his hand.

He did a quick spin. "What do you think?"

Sally took a moment to compose herself. Paul guaffed from the table, covering his mouth with his hands. "Oh, this is good. Who's idea was this?"

"Mine," Annabeth walked out. Immediately the Jackson-Blofis' were in stitches. 

She was wearing her boyfriend's usual getup. Camp shirt, flannel,  jeans, and old sneakers. A messy black mop of hair sat on her head.

Percy's smile faltered slightly. "It was my idea," he defended lightly.

Annabeth knocked his shoulder lightly. "Yeah, but I'm you and you're me, Seaweed Brain, remember?"

"Doesn't that make me Wise Girl?"

Sally wiped tears from her eyes. "Oh, this is so good. Oh my gods. This was your idea?"

"Uh huh," he nodded with a grin. "Annabeth kept stealing all my sweatshirts and so I just thought of it. But Mom, look," Percy nudged Annabeth- the real one. "Show her your arm. Annabeth thought of this."

The blonde held out her forearm,  showing off a sharpied on SPQR tattoo with a trident and stripe. "He drew it on."

"It's a little crooked," Percy critiqued himself.

"It's perfect " Sally complimented. 

"I'll get my camera," Paul stood as Sally continued admiring the teens' handiwork.

"Did you switch necklaces?" she asked, reaching to straighten her son's shirt.

"Yeah. Weapons too. Though Riptide keeps reappearing in my pocket, so."

"Well you're not going to be able to brandish them on the street while you take Estelle trick or treating, anyway," Paul advised. "But I've got a pen in my office you could use, Annabeth."

"Oh, please," she agreed. "Can't let Percy have all the fun accessories."

"What does he-" Paul started, not before his stepson excitedly perked up.

"Do you want to see my blueprints? I have blueprints," the demigod performed in falsetto. He reached into a bookbag Sally hadn't even noticed he'd been wearing.

True to his word, he whipped out old drawings of Annabeth's that she'd scrapped. He pretended to flip them around and investigate the work. "This is a new temple I'm designing, for the greatest demigod of all time. My boyfriend, actually,"

Annabeth rolled her eyes. "Don't flatter yourself. You know the best demigod of all time is-"

"You, I know," he leaned in and pecked her on the lips.

The click of the camera sounded just as they kissed. Paul turned the screen to Sally, who "aweed" sweetly. "We're framing that."

I honestly just wanted this visual in the world but haven't been able to draw it yet 😂 the writing could be better but maybe ill be able to draw it how I have it in my head one day
