"Trinity I need your help in the office." Mariah yelled over the intercom.

"What's the problem?"

"Okay, well we have some new employees coming soon and I want you and...Ness to train them."

"Me and Ness? Now Mariah..."

"I know, I know. That's going to be difficult, but it's more like her last opportunity to show me she wants this job. You know she is basically one foot out the door and when she's gone you take her position."

"Really?"

"Yes, You should've been the assistant manager in the first place, but you was like 18 then."

"Well, I have been here for four years and I was taught by the best."

"Oh stop boosting me up Trinity." She laughed. "But you will start the training tomorrow."

"Alright, well I'll go start closing up...need anything else?" I asked before I stepped out the office.

"Nah, that's all for now. Have a nice night." I left the office and headed to the front to tell Shawn that it was almost closing time. Ever since I was manager for a day or so, Mariah changed my shift. I guess that was because I'm possibly about to be assistant manager, but only time will tell.

It took forever for the people to get out the store so we could close. It was almost 9 o'clock when we got everything straighten out. As I was about to head out the door I saw Ness talking to Bobbi and looking at me the same time. They always talking about some shit.

"What you looking at?" Ness asked.

"I don't know you tell me." I said as I walked out the door. I can't deal with Ness and her attitude, she gets on my nerves, but hopefully what Mariah told me will happen so I won't see that girl again.

I arrived to my apartment to see no one there. Thank you Jesus. I thought to myself.

Ever since Monday, I've been trying to avoid Nathan as much as possibly, but 24 hours later Nathan said something to Javion and they haven't been on good terms since, but they didn't get physical or anything. Javion hasn't said nothing to me about it or anything else, for some reason. I will figure this out sooner or later.

I didn't realize it, but I went to sleep on the couch. I must've been tired because I didn't take my shoes off or nothing.

"I see you up, can you get off my bed now?" Nathan said coming from Javion's room.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"10 o'clock."

"Damn, Javion made it home yet?"

"Don't know and don't care." I just rolled my eyes and checked my phone. It was pass 10 o'clock it was almost 11. "You don't know how to tell time." I yelled. Where is Javion? I decided to call him.

"Hello?"

"Hey." He slurred

"You alright?" I asked

"Yeah, I'm good...I think."

"You think?"

"Yeah, had a couple of drinks with Raymond that's all."

"Alright well don't drink nothing else and come home." I demanded.

"Tuh, alright." He said as he hung up. I haven't talked to him in almost 3 days and when I do he's drunk. I didn't even know he drink.

"You seem stressed baby girl." Nathan said as he came sit beside me.

"I am..and you're one of the reasons why"
