~ELAINE'S POV~

I knew it all along. I knew that it was Alfonso who will tutor me. The first time we met? I knew that he was on of Dad's scholars. One of my victims.

What do I mean by victims?

Okay, here's the story:

I have a very bad experience with boys. And it's not a breakup. It's my dad.

My dad is a demon. He's a spoiled brat, up until his age. It is also the reason why Mom killed herself--suicide.

Everybody was brainwashed. They didn't know that it was him. That it was because of him. They thought that she has a brain problem. The only people who knew were all of Dad's maids, drivers, my brother, and me. My brother was the first one who knew what happened. He was fourteen when Mom told us that my father is no angel and that we need to protect ourselves from him. So after my brother graduated three years ago from my dad's university, he left immediately. He even asked me if I want to come with him, but at that time I was also brainwashed. I said no and hated my brother, but now when I heard my dad talking to drug dealers and cursing to my mom's pictures in his office, I knew my brother wasn't lying. Neither does my mom.

Because of that I want every boy that I will meet to suffer. Thank God that Jake, my brother, and Nate, my boyfriend are the only men who loves me and takes care of me. Or my death will be the same day as my birth.

Speaking of men, Alfonso is the fifth of dad's male scholars that tutored me. Dad usually picks female ones but they refuse to and just begged him to do service for the university. Well, tutoring someone your age does sound boring in my opinion. But Dad says it's for mysef, and that I should thank him for owning the freakin' university, for goodness sake. All he talks about is himself and his success. Even Jake is more successful than him. He is now a doctor and he owns an orphanage, which is more useful than a university. 'Cause let me tell you that there are billions of universities in America right know. So he doesn't need to push his university between them.

Anyway, back to the scholars and enough with my selfish father.

So what happened to the four other scholars? Well, I got their scholarships out of their way. Which means they never got a chance to continue their scholarship and do service for the university--I know that they'll never tutor me again.

So here I am, with Alfonso at our dining table. We're supposed to be multiplying fractions, but hey, who multiplies fractions in college? Isn't that 7th grade stuff? Oh, by the way this is the third day he's tutoring me.

"Elaine, why are you drawing on your journal? You're supposed to do the homework from math this morning." said Alfonso in his irritated voice.
