Track 21: Proposal

Yuzuru stormed into his hotel room and jumped into the bed.

Shoma looked up surprised.

"S-senpai?"

Yuzuru groaned into the pillows.

"Are you okay? Wasn't that Javier Fernandez? He's another skater, right? Isn't he your friend?" Shoma noticed Yuzuru smelled different. His scent was softer before..

"He's nothing to me." Yuzuru's voice was shaky.

Shoma looked at him concerned.

"What did he do to you?" Shoma's mind went to the darkest places.

Yuzuru was quiet. His tears soaked into the pillow.

"Did he.. hurt you?"

"You could say that."

Shoma looked away. Maybe he should call the police?

"He's always doing those things.. " Yuzuru lifted his head up. "And then he acts like nothing happened. And he won't even talk about.. other things.." Yuzuru struggled to speak.

This guy was dangerous! Shoma had to do something! He reached for his phone.

Just then Javier walked through the open door of the hotel room.

"I can't believe you!" Javier exclaimed.

Yuzuru shot up from the bed, startled by Javier's sudden reappearance. Shoma dropped his phone.

"I'm not just gonna let you go that easy! Especially not for him!" Javier pointed at Shoma who looked like a deer caught in headlights.

"What are you talking about?" Yuzuru felt himself get angry for the first time in a long time.

Yuzuru turned towards Shoma.

"Um.. Shoma, can you go get some drinks or something?" He really didn't want him to hear them argue like this.

"S-sure." Shoma got off the bed and speed walked out of the room.

Javier continued. "I'm talking about you giving up on us-"

"I'M giving up on us? You're the one that didn't call me.." Yuzuru couldn't help but cry when he was angry. He had no control over the fresh tears forming in his eyes.

"You're the one that didn't call me! Why do I always have initiate everything? It's like you don't even care!" Javier screamed.

"You know how hard that is for me! And I did call you but you cut me off. It's like you didn't even want to talk to me! Do you care about me at all?!"

"Of course I care! Why else would be here? I came here for you and then I find you with this fucking pre-teen!"

Yuzuru shook his head in disbelief. He'd never heard Javier talk like this. And he couldn't handle Javier bringing Shoma into their argument.

"Don't bring Shoma into this. This is between you and me."

"Wow.. You care that much about him?" Javier's eyes started tearing up.

"Why does that matter? That has nothing to do with us!" Yuzuru was so confused. He had no idea why Javier was acting this way.

Javier laughed in disbelief.

"I think it's pretty important that you don't sleep with other people when you care about someone else!"

"You're one to talk when you slept with that girl!"

"What are you talking about?!" Javier was frustrated. Why couldn't Yuzuru just own up to what he did instead of talking nonsense this entire time?
