~Y/N POV~
"Y/n you're a little more quieter than usual, what's up with ya?"
I hummed at her, not quite catching what she was saying to begin with. Although I was pretty sure she was asking me what was wrong with me.
"I'm fine."
Shrugging my shoulders, just to pick up my glass of water to take sip, trying to ignore the exchanged looks between my best friend and cousin. The two both raising a brow not convinced by my answer.
"Oh come on now, when Marks here, you usually talk away. Did something happen this morning?" Annie
"Yeah and not to mention you actually came to lunch on time today and that is not like you." Mark
My phone buzzed in my pocket so I took it out to see it was a text message from my dad about the time of drop off tomorrow. I didn't bother to text him back but instead to sigh heavily and just lock my phone and drop it to the table, slumping back in my seat.
"Starting from tomorrow I'll have bodyguards following me around every where."
Pouting my lips as I stare off at the table, just at pure nothing. Annie sitting next to me on our shared booth seat scooted closer to me, nudging me by the elbow.
"It can't be that bad, can it? Are they guys? How many would you be getting?" Annie
Annie filled with questions already seemed quite interested in the idea but when I looked to Mark, I could tell by the look on his face it's not good news, not in the least.
"Yes, they're guys. For how long I don't know but they'll be staying at my place until god knows when and they're not even human. They're like these human experimental robots."
"You're dad actually did that?" Mark
"You knew he would do this?"
I was kind of stunned by his question and he just shrugged a little bit.
"Yes and no. I mean he's been talking about doing something like that for as long as I can remember but I had no idea he succeeded in his plans. Have you seen them?" Mark
I nodded, tapping my fingers along the wood of the table. My memory going back to those seven faces that have caused me great pain as a teenager and now they'll be living in my apartment.
"What do they look like? Do they look human?" Annie
Again I nodded, following a hum.
"Yeah. You wouldn't even think they were robots. It's their insides that are all machinery since my dad apparently took out most of their organs and replaced it with all this metal stuff."
"What can they do?" Mark
"I don't know, a lot of stuff I guess."
Shrugging to them I was in no mood to talk about it. I don't even want tomorrow to come at this point.
"Why aren't you excited? Are they all old or something?" Annie
She laughed, nudging my with her elbow once more but I just shook my head.
"Worse. They're the seven villains."
Without looking towards my friend and cousin I knew they were stunned because neither one of them said anything and I didn't bother to see their reactions on their faces. They know full well who I was talking about by just calling them what I once did in school. Mark being the one that hated them the most because of his love for me as family but Annie I wouldn't say would be much different. She witnessed the torment I had to endure because of them every day when we were back in school.
"You can't be serious?" Annie
"Yep. Apparently their memories have been wiped too so they wouldn't remember be anyway. But they way some of them would look at me gave me the idea that possibly they just might but it could just be because I was shocked to even see them again."
"I thought they disappeared? Like murdered or something, it wouldn't of surprised me back then or anyone to be honest." Annie
I nodded, crossing my arms over my chest just to look up across the table for the first time to see Mark glaring off at his drink as if it had created the biggest offense to him ever in his life.
"Mark, are you okay? You're spacing out."
Mark shook his head, finally blinking a few times and stood up from his chair, taking his phone out of his pocket.
"I have to make a call, I'll be right back." Mark
Annie and I nodded and watched him walk off towards the bathrooms. I shrugged it off because I done doubt that he's calling my dad right now to try and knock some sense into him for doing such a thing to me.
"At least they wont remember you though? And I'm sure you're dad made them suffer for what they did to you back then." Annie
"I don't know and I don't really care. They're coming tomorrow, my dad is dropping them off."
She patted my shoulder which slid down to my back to rub soothing circles. Something she's always done when I'm upset but I think she now does it without realising she does it.
"If you want some company tomorrow morning when they come, I can be there." Annie
"No it's okay. I'll face up to it and deal."
"HEY! On better topic, let's talk about that date you have coming up this weekend. Tell me his name again." Annie
A smile crept up in my lips as I thought about the guy that I met last week in a bar. It was my co-worker's birthday and we had drinks. So towards the end of the night I ended up leaving with this guys number and now we're going on a date this weekend.
"His name is Juwon."
"Oh, are you looking forward to it?" Annie
"Yeah I am actually but now I have to take bodyguards with me. I'll text him later and give him the heads up."
Making a mental note to remember to text my date about the sudden arrangements. I don't know how he'll take it but I hope it doesn't affect our plans and he backs out. I swear I'll be even more pissed if that happens.
We'll just see how this all plans out.
