Chapter 25 - The Big News

Waking up in the morning, I feel a slight pain in my head as I realized how much I had drunk the previous night. From the left hand side of me, I heard a groan and turned around to see Josh looking ill. I got out of bed and got some painkillers and got Josh some aswell plus a glass of water to take them with. 

I jumped in for a quick shower, got dressed and prepared to tidy our extremeley messy flat. Josh crawled out of  bed approximately half an hour later and decided to help me tidy. 

"Grab me a black bag Josh," I called through to the front room looking at the food lying on the floor.

Josh replied, "Sure babe." 

The next minute he trodded through carrying four black bins and helped me pick up the mess on the floor. 

After we had eventually finished cleaning and the house looked back to normal-ish, we decided to curl up on the sofa together and watched films. We started off by watching an old classic from our childhoods - HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL! We both sang along to the songs, dancing around the living room, Josh nearly knocking the TV right off its table as he was so enthuasiastically dancing. 

Next morning, we both woke up, Josh's arms wrapped around me, grasping me tightly around the waste. He was lightly breathing, looking extremely peaceful. I used to love watching him sleep, I still do nowadays - he just always looked so calm when he was asleep and I always used to imagine the things running through his mind - the dreams he could be having.

One of my all time favourite Union J songs that was while they were around. I still listen to their albums nowadays. Amazing, they were; but personally I never thought they got the praise that they really deserved. 

I phoned up Cat to see what her plans were for the day, and she didn't have anything planned and neither did I so we decided to go out shopping. The boys had a radio show and then a performance on Blue Peter for promotion for their upcoming single.

I met Cat in town and went in Selfridges to buy myself a new handbag, We went to the bag section where I saw it - it was black leather with silver zips. Cat and I made our way over to the bag when suddenly everything went black and I felt a pain in the back of my head as I fell to the floor.

Bright lights shone and my eyes felt like they were being pierced. The light made its way into my eyes bringing the room alive around me. I heard phones ringing, people talking nearby and smelt that hospital smell.

I sat up with much difficulty to see myself in a hospital bed with Josh, Cat and JJ sat next to my bed. 

"What happened to me?" I asked Cat as I could faintly remember her being the last person I was with.

She replied with, "You passed out. We was walking over to that handbag you liked when you just fell to the love. You're lucky you didn't split your head open - the bang it made when you fell on the hard marble floor."  

Cat was interrupted as the doctor walked in and told me he had some news to tell me. 

"Cheryl Cook - you're pregnant," the doctor told me. 

I heard Josh gasp from my bedside. I couldn't believe I was going to be a Mum. And Josh was going to be the father to my child! This couldn't be anymore perfect. It was weird though, because I always imagined myself as someone who would have loads of dogs instead of children. 

I remember feeling really happy but also extremely scared. I was only 20 and Josh was only 22 - was we really ready to be parents yet?

I FINALLY UPDATED FOR YOU GUYS! 

I am so sorry it took me so long. I got my new laptop for Christmas and I've spent the past few days updating it and stuff.
