this is the sequel to "~him~" a josh Richards story, so if you haven't read the first book I would read that one first and then come to this one cause it will make much more sense.
Josh comes back for a long holiday break but something on the intern...
"I know we are on a break, but do you want to forget about me that bad?" he asked me, his voice full of pain.
"I don't wanna forget about you Josh, but I have to because we were so in love that whenever I look at you. I just wanna run up to you and kiss you" I blurted out. He looks at his shoes and looks back at me.
"And you can't do that, because we are on a break," he said. I nodded.
"Then can we stop this? I don't like this either" he admitted.
"Josh, with your media life. They are gonna be many more scandals and dramas for you and me, whenever I walk out of the house I know I am dating a Tiktok star and people are gonna come up to me and invade my privacy. I am new to this world, and I don't think I can take it" I said.
"But you are so strong, y/n. I know you can get through it, yes it will be hard but I know you can do it" he persisted.
"I DON'T THINK I CAN OKAY?" I shouted with frustration.
"Y/n you need to know we can get through this, trust me," he said calmly. I step back a few steps and lean against the wall.
"The media life is so stressful, I have seen it with you, Josh. I just want to live a normal life" I admitted as I slide down the wall and sat on the floor. Josh steps closer and crouches down, takes my hand and holds it there.
"I'll wait if you want okay?" he said. My eyes lock with mine, oh how bad I wanted to kiss him.
"Josh, I want you too.." I started. My heart aching not wanting to end the sentence.
"I want you to break up with me" I blurted out. My lungs took a heavy breath in, as I try and remain eyes contact with him.
"Y/n what?" he asked as he stood up.
"Yes I want you to break up with me," I said again.
"Why Y/n?" he asked with confusion.
"I am gonna hold you back from your career, I want you to find someone that can keep up with you," I said.
"Y/N I WANT YOU, DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?" he shouted at me.
"I JUST WANT YOU TO HAVE A GOOD LIFE OKAY? I AM HOLDING YOU BACK FROM SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES!" I shouted.
"Y/N THIS IS DIFFERENT BEFORE YOU WERE SAYING THAT YOU WANTED TO TAKE A BREAK BECAUSE THE MEDIA WAS TOO MUCH FOR YOU? NOW YOU'RE SAYING THAT YOU WANT TO BREAK UP BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME?" he shouted, his voice sending shivers down my spine.
"Whatever, I hope you have a good life," I said as I stormed out of the bathroom, running to my car and starting the engine. I see Avani and Nessa running out of the restaurant and running to my car.
"Y/N!" they shouted. I reversed and drove out of the carlot. My breath was heavy and loud, as I tried not to burst into tears. I cannot believe that happened, I broke up with Josh Richards? I was such an asshole, I could have done it more peacefully. I took a deep breath in and continued driving. I reached my house and walked upstairs to my bedroom, I groaned at what a much more mess I have gotten myself into.
"Y/n why are you so dramatic" I muttered to myself. I covered myself in my sheets and sank into my bed. This is where I am gonna be until I leave for New York.
A few days later
After the whole breakup, I have been cooped up in my bedroom and only coming out for meals and to the bathroom. Right now, I was binging "The Vampire Diaries" for the 3rd time when I hear my door open. I look up to see Nessa and Avani standing at the doorway.
"Go away" I groaned as I looked back to my laptop. They ignored me and sat on my bed.
"Come on y/n, you have been ignoring all of us for days" pleaded Avani as she shut my laptop.
"HEY!" I shouted.
"Come on your going to a party," said Nessa as she pulled me out of my bed.
"No, I refuse" I replied.
"Come on, it's gonna be fun and you can dress up and be with us?" pouted Avani as she went through my closet.
"Your leaving for New York tomorrow morning, and your gonna be stuck with your ex for the rest of the month. Have a little fun before you go" persisted Nessa. I agreed with Nessa, the rest of the month is gonna be like hell.
"Fine" I admitted. It earns squeals from both of them.
"Okay here's your outfit, now go change," said Avani as she pushed the outfit towards me and lead me to the bathroom. I sighed and walked into the bathroom, I changed and stepped out.
"Wow y/n you look so good" gawked Nessa.
"I know right, she basically looks good in everything" smiled Avani as we all walked back to my bedroom.
"Thanks, guys" I grinned as I grabbed my phone.

"The party is at Josh's house, just a heads up," said Nessa. I cleared my throat and nodded, I had to face him one day I said to myself.
"Come on, I am driving," said Avani as we climbed down the stairs. I checked the time on my phone, the screen lights up and the time reads 7:00 pm. We all climb into the car and Avani drives to his house, finally we reach there and walk into Josh's house.
"Remember, no sad faces. Your only here to party and have fun" said Nessa. I nodded and we all walked into the house. As soon as we walk in, I see Josh right ahead of me. Making out with Nadia. I groan to myself.
